I just got a big tub of plain yogurt from a friend, does it need to be put in the fridge, I don't think it was stored in a fridge yet.

It's been sitting outside for a week but still sealed. Should I just toss it?

Yogurt has active cultures. It should be refrigerated if you want to eat it ;) I don't know if it'll be safe to eat if it hasn't been in the fridge for a week! But just take a look at it, it's pretty easy to tell if it's spoiled.

I could give you a long and seemingly-wise answer, but instead, I will let you answer it yourself by asking yourself these two questions:

1) Would you let milk sit outside the fridge for more than a few hours, if even that?

2) What is yogurt made of?

If it has been sitting outside for a week, you need to throw it away. Yogurt needs to be kept refrigerated.

that's in common terms meat you may desire to be rather careful approximately refreezing; in actuality you may desire to by no skill refreeze meat. you are able to refreeze melted ice cream and melted frozen yogurt, however the customary would be decrease, via fact the ice crystals would be greater useful, like an exceedingly difficult frozen slush doggy or gentle-serve ice cream.
