Try to find a better paying job in some office rather than a physical job. Once you get into the physical job world, you'll never be able to get out of it and earn more money.
If you are educated you will definitely get a job somewhere. Try to apply for office supervisor/office manager/administrative assistant kind of jobs. There you will get more money/hour and you wont even have to do the physical work.
If you dont have a bachelors degree, try getting a job at any public/private university or college, most of them offer free education for their employees. You can try their Facilities/Operations/Public Safety or various other departments, earn good money and get your degree for free.

Best of Luck Buddy, don't take up the physical job. Think wisely and advance in your career. You will be happy of your decision when you grow old :)

Well personally I would be thinking about my future, rather than what the immediate situation. Partly it depends on how long you have been a night manager. If you have more than 1 year's experience as a night manager, and you really manager rather than just be the guy with the keys, then you could switch to the other job and look for promotion later.

But let's face it, night manager is really nothing. But management experience will help you when applying for a range of jobs or changes in career (for example, you study information technology, work in customer support, then they want a call centre manager....baby it is yours, you have the experience). Shifting boxes isn't going help your future.
