They should really learn for themselves as opposed to being followers.. they follow blindly and easily forget that they have killed more people in the name of God than any other religion. Why do they think that learning for yourself is wrong? Science for example, merely learning what's what and why.. why is that negative? I understand that they are getting better and are encouraged (by their leader) to read the Bible for themselves.. but if the Bible has sooo many contradictions and has been revised so many times, why do they insist that's a guide as opposed to a mere book of stories with false morals written and revised by the hands of so many people?

It is so sad how ridiculous some of these answers are! Views are like straight out of a horror flick! You should really look into what you're bashing before you make wild assumptions that only truly deeply interest you in the first place.
FYI... I don't classify myself into any catergory... religion isn't the way. For instance.. in the BIBLE it says that Church is two or more people discussing God. NOT a place where everyone worships together.. that to me is like Witchcraft.. *which isn't a bad thing!!! we all do Witchcraft!! if you eat asprin, if you ever wished, if you pray, if you are kind........ so silly. Such active imaginations!!

people will put down and slam and belittle that which they don't understand. if people would look past their noses and look up the history of "witches" they would learn a thing or two. fear motivates people and it can be a very powerful tool, that is why you will see organized religions using it. they want control and they want power. they tell stories to force you to believe and humans, well, are basically gullible, fear-based and fall for it. just look at all the power we're giving to the fear mongers by making them the topic of so many questions.

Well, a few thoughts on the subject:
1. Just because Christians did something doesn't mean that other Christians wouldn't call it evil or that they would take any personal responsibility for it. They would just say that some people who call themselves Christians do things that aren't very Christlike.
2. I don't think the Bible contradicts itself about witches. I don't recall anywhere where it says, "Witches are our happy friends. Let us rejoice and snuggle them."
3. If Christianity didn't require believing some things for which there is not solid proof and accepting that some things that are hard to understand now will eventually make sense, it wouldn't require faith and everybody would be a Christian. There's that "Now I see as through a glass darkly" thing.
4. The word "witch" implies evil in the sense that it's used. I know there's been a valiant effort to reclaim the word from the gutter and use it proudly, but I'm not entirely sure that's been successful. I've been to Pentecostal youth groups with school friends, and the film they showed about witches bore NO resemblance whatsoever to real people who call themselves witches. There's some crazy creepy looking guy talking pompously about controlling demons and being a big hotshot, whereupon the preacher tells him that one day those demons he thinks he commands will drag him to hell. They then appear in fluorescent green and do just that, I think. (It's been a while.)

I consider generalizations are more often than not now not handy. There are many Christians who discover that Wiccans are most of the time now not hurtful persons. They could consider we're faulty in our option of faith, however they do not rely us as evil. Also, Wicca and witchcraft don't seem to be the equal factor. Witchcraft is a system which, like prayer, is utilized in many faiths rather than Wicca. Wiccans, who decide upon to abide via the Wiccan Rede, will on the whole now not use magic for dangerous functions, however there are tons of witches who don't seem to be Wiccans who're below no such constraints. And on what grounds do you pass judgement on us "the least evil of any faith"? That's a sexy daring declare to make, and I'm curious approximately the way you arrived at that end.

Because Christians have something called morals, maybe you should read the ten commandments. Also because they worship false idols. Just because people have died in the name of God or because it was a war fought for God doesn't mean it's a murderous religion. It means that its a controversy, and just like any controversy people have a problem, only this one effects peoples lives drastically so they take extreme measures. Is it right? No, not always, but we fought wars over more stupid things. Have you ever picked up a bible and read it, not just genesis or revelations but like Psalms, or any other chapter of the Bible? Do you know the history of the Bible, Do you know that the Old Testament which had thousands of predictions of a savior was written 2000 years before Jesus Christ stepped on earth? Did you know that Jesus Christ fulfilled all of those prophecies and to this day no one else has been capable of doing that, and the odds of doing that are scientifically astounding? Did you know that the Egyptians have documented that the Jews escaped, how did they do that with out crossing the red sea, how would they have crossed the red sea with out Moses? What contradictions are you talking about, do you actually know of any? Have you ever prayed, have you ever given Christianity a chance? Any which could repent and God would lovingly take them into his hands, **** you could accept Christ and his blood will cover your sin, be a witch just love Jesus. You should probably learn a little about something before you belittle and criticize it, you really don't have your facts very straight, oh and btw. You could take a modern day copy of the King James Version of the bible which is probably the most commonly used, and learn hebrew, then go translate the dead sea scrolls for yourself, and compare the two. See how many differences you find? Our originals still exist, we still have ancients, don't bash us, you don't know the slightest about Christianity, your just an aethistic conformist, who tries to put it down. Deny Ignorance.

Christians ARE NOT murderous! History does not prove a thing, because it was the Government under a Christian mask that murdered those people, NOT Christians! My mom, nor my dad, nor I would ever even think about killing anyone, a witch or not a witch! And I don't think witches are evil, I think what they do is! That's a big difference!! You should know yourself, if you ever done any kind of witch crafting that it all comes down to dealing with demonic powers... It's your choice, I wont, nor do I have the right to judge you in that respect! I wouldn't advice you to do it, but it's not up to me to tell you what to do! As far as History, honestly, a lot was manipulated and a lot is not even true! What about all the good deeds that Christians have done, why doesn't your teacher tell you about that? It's always been where Christians are portrayed as hypocrites and all that, but really, we are humans like everyone else, the only difference is that we accepted the gift of God's sacrifice for our sins!

-Witches, are devil worshippers, worst than anyone else as they know the existence of God and Jesus, but opposing for no reason at all. Obviously they are evil, what are you saying they are good????
-Since when have we "killed in the name of God"? That is something you just made up. The 10 commandments, one of the rules are "Thou shall not kill". The Holy Bible does state that God ordered his people to kill, but why? Because God knew their hearts were bitter and would not change. Everything we do, He wants us to do in his name. You broke another rule: "Thou shall not lie".
-Things like science and such seem very convincing, yes they are true. But God gave Satan the power to fool men. Satan has been practicing to kill, steal, and destroy for years and obviously he knows how to fool people into thinking that if science is true, then that means God doesn't exist. How much faith do you think we Christians would have to still believe God exists?
-The Bible, was in fact written by different people at different times, but not revised. The only thing that has changed is the language, so we can all understand. Isn't there enough evidence to prove the Bible isn't fake? EX) God flooded to earth and made a covenant with man to not flood the earth again by making a rainbow, and later scientists find out raindrops make rainbows.
-For anyone who's read this, I'm begging you to please repent, change your faith and believe Jesus Christ has died for you because He loves you so much. You know how many times you've been asked this, and your heart is bitter. This is one of the many times Jesus will ask you to turn to Him, open up your heart for Him. He could've abandoned us, and created a better world where His people obey Him, but no, He came down and gave His life to save us. that is the Greatest Love.

People have found god in the dessert with no bible, even floating in a swarm of sharks
watching a hull go under water.
Really listening to people is one thing and seeking god is another.
Is there really something out there is maybe something not asked while sitting in a bar
over a steak dinner with a beautiful girl.
What more could anyone want when they have everything and what one may seek when they have nothing is just a veiw of the veiwer.

I agree. For one I have never heard of a Wiccan killing anyone or a Buddhist either. But Christians and Muslims always say they are so peaceful but they are the ones that start all the wars that have happened now and in the past. I used to be Christian but I could not deal with the bible saying that God told so and so to go kill every man and child and even the animals. The bible is full of wars and killings. I guess thats where they get where violence is ok

Christianity didnt start wars. Religion was only a tool politicians used to justify and gain support for wars that would have happened even if religion never existed. Even the crusades were about land and greed. Religion was an excuse, not a reason for war. If the politicians didnt have religion to use, they would have found something else to use to gain support for their wars.
