Why is it that every time a wiccan or witch gets on here and asks a question a christian or some other religious bible fanatic gets on here and preaches to them for believing the way we do. The choice is made people. We choose who we are and what we believe. You can't change us just because you believe in a different thing. I like being a witch and believe in magick and I don't appreciate it when all my fellow believers out there get ragged on when they ask questions and get preached at. Get over your religious stuff and leave us to what we believe. It's not satanic and it's actually really good for us. To each his own.

I am not bashing on all Christians or anyone who believes differentlly than I do. I just noticed that there was always those few who came on here and called us satanists and devil worshippers. I was making a point that it does happen and we don't appreciate it. And I know that not every person who believes differently gets on her and rags on us, and we thank you for that.

I'm not picking sides, but there is a growing population of evangelical Christians, and their collective mission is to preach the gospel and convert (or save) unbelievers. Those with good hearts are trying to help you see what they see, because they believe their faith means they will be united with their God, like winning the ultimate lottery, and they want to share it with you. Others are opinionated and critical. And some are just trying to provoke you.
I wish there was some way to really know and share the ultimate truth, without having to rely on the language, imagery and behavior of any religion, but humans are limited, so we keep striving, each in our own way. It would be interesting if all our senses were removed, and we had to learn some way of communicating. What would happen to convention then?
I think I've stayed up too late again. Perhaps I'm not making any sense at all. =)
Good night.

Trust me, it is equal opportunity annoyance in here. I am a Christian and I am not preaching at you but actually agreeing with your premise. It is my belief that it is an individual decision to worship God or not. You are so right to say that nobody is pressured into conversion. I hope I never try to do that to anyone. I really dont like to argue anyway!

Unfortunately, there are a lot of self-conscious, doubting people out there and the only way they feel good about themselves is by shoving their beliefs down everyone else's throats. I have an aunt that does this constantly at family get togethers. Eventually, it's just her and a gin and tonic in the kitchen.

Preaching isn't about converting people, it is about reinforcing one's own sense of community and feeling special. If Christians were actually attempting to change people's minds they wouldn't do most of the things they do, as they just serve to alienate non-believers. Protesting outside of funerals, screaming on street corners, arguing on-line, and attempting to force their idols into court houses are all worthless when converting people, they only help the converted.

I think that most *(some aren't)* are a proud bunch that contradicts themselves constantly.. for example, one of their guidelines is, "Judge not, least ye be judged." And they constantly judge! Another example, if we are all created in His image, why do they think they are better/smarter/holier than others? If they believe that one should not smoke/drink/drugs/sex, than why are they at the bar on Saturday nights getting loaded and cheating on their wives? Oh I hope I haven't gone too far, but that's just the tip of the iceburg from this point of view!

It's hard for me to believe that anyone with more than 6th grade education equates witchcraft (wiccan) with satanism.
They probably need to split this group and create a section just for the bible thumpers... since they believe they are the only ones with a religion, or the only ones who are truly spiritual.

well that's because Christians don't believe in spirit worship. we believe that wiccans and witches and sorcerers and voodoo - that's all the devil's (Satan's) methods of deceiving people.
there are some preachers who talk directly against people who allow themselves to be controlled by spirits like so. however, as you correctly pointed out, they don't have a right to question your choice.
i am a Christian, and i like to believe that i am a devout Christian. but i will never force you to quit witchcraft. what i will tell you though is that God does not approve of it and that while you might have chosen it for your own reasons, God will be honored if you chose to worship Him instead of giving yourself up to be controlled by "evil" spirits.
That is truth to me, and I will preach that to whomever will listen. and I invite you to try giving it up and surrendering to God. you'll be pleasantly surprised.

You are exercising the Free Will that The God In Heaven gave you. When He created You along with Everyone else,He gave us FREE WILL. I can see that you're using You're God Given Free Will. To be a Christian Isn't about Religion. It's about a Relationship with Jesus Christ. Being Religious won't get you Into heaven's gates.Jesus had alot to say to the Religious people. Jesus loves you, even If you don't serve Him....
