What do i wear to a catholic baptism as the father

As the 'father' or the 'godfather'? In either case, a suit would be most appropriate. This is a solemn affair and a sacrament, dress with dignity.

I don't know if this is the same, I'm Mormon and I will be wearing a suit to the baptism. Then I will change into all white with my son for the Baptism. After the baptism, I will dry off and I will change back to my suit for the remainder of the services.

Well, my dad was wearing a suit. Just wear a suit with a tie. ^^
