what can i do to get rid of tooth calcifications? i have them quite bad and i get very self-conscious of them.

Do you mean decalcification? The white staining on the teeth? If so, there has been a breakthrough in treatment of this. Results will vary depending on how severe the decalcification is and what has caused it. A recent study done on Recaldent's Tooth Mousse has shown it can reduce the appearance of "white spots" on the enamel. They did an experiment where they acid-etched the tooth surfaces and applied the Tooth Mousse for around 6-8weeks. The results were incredible. I'm not saying it would work in your case, but it is safe and worth a try. Ask your dentist about it and check out the website.
