I have qualifications, but I do not have the skills most employers look for. I also do not work well in a team and am not a team player. I also have a medical condition which means I find it hard to go to interviews and talk to employers because I am so nervous and they do not want someone so nervous. I am on unemployment and the employment agency is forcing me to work. I cannot tell them about this because they would not understand and I find them hard to deal with. I would like to work for myself, I am very good at writing and would like to do this for a career and am working on it but it takes time. I also find most employers to be pains to work for because they expect so much and with my medical condition I find it hard to learn new things and time is money. People have tried to change me to the image they want in the company but get frustrated and say I cannot learn. I just learn in a unique way and they do not understand or want to understand. What can I do?

hmm... very interesting situation. First I ask, if you have looked into disability? That part aside, if you are the type who finds a unique way of doing the same jobs companies want - you have two benefits.
You will eventually find a job that appreciates someone who thinks outside the box, but you have 'to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince.' Or if your ideas make production faster, safer, smoother, quicker or more efficient, consider opening your own business.
As for the writing career, scan the magazine racks for local publications. A lot of magazines will take reader submissions and publish them. A few, (very few) will compensate you for your work. However, the key here, is to get your work published first. Get your name circulating and get people interested in your work. Tell everyone you know what magazine your work is in. Have your friends buy copies, get a couple to write a 'Letter to the Editor' about how helpful or enjoyable your article is. Post links to the magazine on MySpace and Yahoo 360 and anywhere else you can to get people to look at their magazine or website and read your work.
Don't post the article online yourself. The key is to get people to buy their magazine. If you are a good writer and can get people to show significant interest, the company will realize how valuable you can be to their company and this could lead to you being able to land a job writing for them.
hope this helps,
lawrence

What is the medical condition you speak of? it's tough to help when you're being so vague. You have to give a little to get a little. Don't expect employers to do everything you ask for when they could hire someone less, um, high maintenance. You have to be someone they are looking for, not telling them how much special attention you need.

Maybe you could check with your doctor and see if they can refer you to a good career counselor who specializes in finding work for people with your medical condition. There should definitely be help for you out there.
If you don't feel you are a team player (I know it's hard depending on who you have to work with!), you might try to work in a library. I have a job shelving books in a library, and you pretty much work independently. You could try something like filing or data entry, where you might work alone most of the time.
I'm not sure what your condition is, but try searching on the Internet for "(name of medical condition) career counseling" or something like that. Try searching with different words to come up with helpful websites.
I hope this helps and good luck.

Tell the unemployment people all of these things! They have programs for people like you who need extra help to get into the work world. You're expecting them to hand you a job, yet you don't want to be honest and show them what your strengths and weaknesses really are! There are programs for you, but you have to ask.

When the NY Times looked into the backgrounds of conservatives, to discredit them as poor, uneducated, lazy, low lifes they found the opposite to be true. What they found is conservatives are more highly educated, have more wealth, vote, work or are retired, better prepared to win an argument (especially with liberals). But in your defense, they do go to DeVry and ASU, only as some of the teachers, or instructors.
