It is funny when Christians pretend like they thoroughly question their religion, or to hear them say that they question while trying to stay true to what they believe (is that questioning?).
They do question, they just don't actually allow answers that don't correlate with their religion to win out as best answer (at all cost). They rationalize until they find an excuse for their question that makes sense (to them). The questioning is totally pointless, except to maybe make them feel better about believing.
True questioning is taking into account all answers, and not hiding from answers you don't like. It is being unbiased... Christians can't be unbiased, because they are always influenced by what they want to believe in, by their parents, pastors, other members of society including co-workers and friends, etcetera.
So... I don't buy that they question their religion. They only rationalize their beliefs.

I think you have to question it if you are worthy of being called a member.
I equate it to being an American or an English citizen etc. you have to create and build a better place in both the civil and the religious place. What was good for America at the beginning of the union is not necessarily good for it now. The same is true of Christendom or Judaism, Islam etc.
As a gay man the challenge is sometimes profoundly difficult but the need to work for justice is our calling.

I know some that aren't even Christians but use the religion and church merely as a place to group together and utilize every possible resource from within the church. My brother does this.
He classifies himself as a Christian but he's constantly using the church, religion, and the word Christian as a right to pass judgment upon others and use up valuable resources.
Christians care for nothing other than to corrupt others into their lifestyle, belief system, and church as a way to say "look how powerful my influence is."

Most people question themselves at some point in time. They would be lying if they didn't. Do you honestly think that no one ever has any doubts or questions that makes them dig further?
Just because someone comes to a different conclusion about their religion than you did doesn't mean that they are either mindless or stupid. That is a rather closed minded assumption.

Jesus answered a Woman In the 1st Century this way “Believe me, woman, The hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you people worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation originates with the Jews. Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him. God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth.”
Because truth originates with God and lies originate with Satan, it follows that all doctrine and teachings of men that are contrary to the Word of God are false teachings. If such doctrines or teachings tend to do injury to others, then such doctrines or teachings are lies. The Word of God is true and that is our measuring rod. What is contrary to the Word of God is a lie and it proceeds from the Devil. It is for our own welfare that we abandon everything having to do with lies and stick close to the truth. Christians should not believe things merely because they are said or printed, but must judge what are true by their conformity to the Scriptures.

I'm a son of God and have a relationship with him. Sometimes I don't like the answerer's that he gives me but he has let me know that he is there and the Bible is the inspired word of God. The fruits of the spirit are a good place to find the will of God. Jesus Christ is God and he came to the earth in the flesh. As a human race we have started to learn faster and faster new technology's and advancement and it is fun. I just hope that the evil in this world doesn't try to destroy the earth yet.

God Himself told us to question what we are being taught and see if it lines up with what He had already told us.
I am not religious, I am a Christian. The main difference is that I have a relationship with my Creator, whereas religious people are often just living by rules and regulations passed down by humans, and hoping they get it right and don't miss something important.

I am a Christian and I question my religion and my beliefs. I try to keep an open mind while staying committed to that which I have found is true.

I was an Atheist. I questioned it before I chose to turn from my sins and allow Jesus to be the Lord of my life. I am glad that I did. It was the only logical choice after I weighed the alternatives. Evolution does not promise ever lasting life.

I believe because the eyewitness testimony of Jesus life, ministry and miracles recorded in the gospels is convincing to me. Read them for yourself and see if they're convincing to you.
