other religions?
for example countries like Turkey, Iran, some African nations.
Also the president of Iran wants to kill all Jewish people and Americans because they don't worship the God of Islam. ANd they are different gods. the God of the Bible and or Torah is NOT the God of Islam.

does the fact that there were dark areas in Christianity give Islam the right to do evil.

i dont agree that the God of Islam is the God of Christianity. my grandmother is from the Turkish nation but she lived in Moldova. when the Turkish nation wanted to make Islam the state religion, there was a group of people who did not want to practice Islam so the nation of Moldova was formed. When my grandmother a christian prayers, she will sometimes say Alla. which means God in the turkish languagae. is not praying to the God of Islam. is just that;s how u say God in turkish.
The difference between the two is what the Bible says and want the Koran says who God is.

The Muslim holy month of Ramadan has begun. In addition to fasting from dawn to dusk, Muslims are obligated to read the entire Koran during this month. Non-Muslims should be aware of some of the things their Muslim neighbors will be reading in the Koran:

The unbelievers among the people of the book and the pagans shall burn forever in the fire of Hell. They are the vilest of all creatures. (98.6).

Surely the vilest of animals in Allah's sight are those who disbelieve. (8.55)

The unbelievers are your inveterate enemy. (4:101)

Mohammed is God's apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another. (48:29).

It is unlawful for a believer to kill another believer, accidents excepted. (4:92)

Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends. (5:51)

Make war on them [non-Muslims] until idolatry shall cease and God's religion shall reign supreme. (8:40)

Fight against them until idolatry is no more and God's religion reigns supreme. (2:193)

The true believers fight for the cause of God, but the infidels fight for the devil. Fight then against the friends of Satan. (4:76)

We will put terror into the hearts of the unbelievers. (3:150)

I shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels. Strike off their heads, strike off the very tips of their fingers. (8:12)

When the sacred months are over, slay the idolaters wherever you find them. (9:5)

Fight against such of those to whom the Scriptures were given as believe in neither God nor the Last Day, ... until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued. (9:29)

Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. (9:73 and 66:9)

Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Deal firmly with them. (9:123)

When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield, strike off their heads. (47:4)

These and other passages in the Koran, which are considered Allah's literal word, will be important to non-Muslims until the imams preach to their congregations that these passages are no longer valid. So far, it has not happened.

You asked why countries with a large Muslim population repress Christians. The answer is this: countries are run by politicians, not theologians. The politicians aren't experts on Islam. Sometimes, in my opinion, they really sound like they don't know what they are talking about, and they say and do *really* terrible things.
Caveat: I'm not talking about Iran. Iran is predominantly Shi'ite, and I'm not a Shi'ite and I don't really understand that style of Islam very well. It's possible they have their own rules. Maybe in Shi'a Islam, it's ok to persecute Christians. I don't think so, but honestly I don't know, and that could be where some of the confusion is coming from.
Most individual Muslim people don't persecute Christians, though. My mother is a Christian, and I certainly don't persecute her! I love my mama. :-D

Hey Llona. I can understand your frustration. But first of all, it's imperative that you realize that the leaders of such nations are not representatives of the Islamic faith. The president of Iran, he's not the leader of any congregation; he's not an Imam so he doesn't have the authority to guide other Muslims. Often times you will see people like Osama Bin Laden and even people of different religions preach in the name of their religion to justify their actions when in reality, they only work for political and financial gain. They just want to use emotional appeal to sway the masses.

You say the Turkey is hostile to other religions? Well, then I have to say that is quite the opposite. Because Turkey wants to be accepted into the European Union, it is doing all in its might to actually SUPPRESS Islam. Members of the Christian and Jewish faith are allowed to practice as they please. But do you know that women who wear the Islamic headcoverinng known as Hijab are not allowed to attend University? Most importantly, Merve Kavacki, who was elected to the parliament was PHYSICALLy barred from entering by men wearing western suits who were intimidated by her modest dress.

The God of the Bible and Torah IS the God of Islam. Muslims say Allah, Jews say Yahweh, but those are just different names for God. In Saudi Arabia, Christians refer to God as Allah because Allah literllay means The (Al) God (Lah). But you are right to point out that Muslims do not consider Jesus to be divine. We think of him as a Prophet.

I hope this clarifies things for you. Best wishes on your quest for the truth.

Yep, no wonder I can't find any Buddhist, Hindu or Christian in Malaysia. They are all DEAD.

I really don't think the God in Bible is the same as the God in Torah. Jesus is god in Bible but not in Torah. And no trinity in Torah so it is not the same God. Well, you could prove me wrong on this but I doubt it.

Quoted: "Pagans say they are just people who care for all yet also they are Martyring Christians......." When people post questions and are absolutely, undeniably ignorant of the facts surrounding their question they only succeed in proving themselves immeasurably inane. If you were a true Christian, surely you would be quite familiar with the word "persecution" since the Burning Times, the Inquisition and many wars were directly attached to Christian propaganda. What say I? Go study, you. EDITED: QUOTED: "Christians REAL ONES wasnt apart of the Crusades that was ""MAN"" ...NOT REAL christians........" Since they made up Chrisitanity and you say they aren't REAL...why do you still embrace their religion? And if the people of the Crusades were "men", not Christians, what type of humanoid do you claim to be? (Geez, so darned easy...)

The same reason the KKK, which is a Christian organization, persecutes people of other races and religions.

And sorry, Allah is the god of the Bible. You can;t just deny it and pretend it isn't true.

They don't!!

There would be no Christians in the 99.9% Muslim countries if they really "hated" them.

Your logic eats itself.
