NOOOOOOOO..... don't breed unless you know what you are doing, wow you could kill the puppies>< If the mother for sure is NOT providing for all puppies, then go to the pet store and get a product called mothers helper, they may have other similar products but that is what im more familiar with. Then in the morning call your vet for advice please...

I had a litter of 8 chihuahua babies but lost 2 of the babies and the mama too. You will probably need to feed some of the pups from a bottle and with puppy formula. NOT GRAVY and not carnation milk. You can get the puppy formula and bottles from the vet or pet store. I would rotate which pups I would feed from mama and which ones I would bottle feed. You will also need to give mama some calcium tablets and I would also give her some plain yogurt and cottage cheese and watch for signs of low calcium. The signs to look for is very heavy breathing, harder than when she was in labor, staying away from the pups and having trouble walking. This is a dire medical emergency and you need to get her to the vet ASAP!! If not she will die. Email me with any more questions you may have. You can reach me thru my profile page. Good luck. You are going to be very busy over the next 2 months with this litter.

"8" PUPPIES!!! WoW!! Where did she keep them?...Oh, sorry got off track... well you can go to most pet stores and get puppy supplement milk and little bottles and feed them. I have to tell you, be prepared b'cuz you will be their new mommy! I'm talkin every 2 hours for a while, and helping them go to the bathroom. Maybe you can rotate a few while mom feeds some as well! Good Luck! I hope everything works out!

How old are the puppies? You can get puppy formula called epsilac at petsmart or petco. Call your vet to see if the mother is producing good milk for them too. Keep allowing them to nurse and supplement with bottles with a premie nipple on it.
Carnation milk and gravy ARE BAD IDEAS!! The puppies digestive systems are not set up to handle that. It would be like giving whole milk and gravy to a newborn human infant.

How old are they? If they are over three and a half weeks then yes it will work. There are lots of recipes for dog formula out there. I use one can of milk, one raw egg and a squirt of syrup.
If they are under three and a half weeks then goat's milk is the best followed by milk replacer like maternalac or other canine milk replacer from your vet.

Jeebus Crow! Where the in the frilly heck did you think that would be a good idea?! They specifically make puppy replacement milk. Go to the vet and make sure that the mother isn't having problems with her glands, and get her fixed after the puppies are weaned. You don't need to have any more, and neither does that poor mother.

No way ! Get a replacement milk for puppies from the vet or petco. They'll need to be bottle or tube fed. If you consider tube feeding, have your vet show you how its done.

no, no, no, no, no, no, do not do that.. for tonight, rotate the puppies. four on four off, put a peice of blue string on four.... and a peice of red string on the other four...
so they each have a chance at mothers milk.... then tomorrow call the vet if you need to,, and get the puppy formula... you can get it from the vet, or the pet store.. not too much, and you will also need to get puppy bottles to feed them,, and the vet can tell you how much and how often to give it... since they are tiny dogs, you will need to be careful..

No not at all dont feed the pups that! You will make them very sick. Get some puppy replacer milk form your vet or even WalMart has it and some bottles too.
