I understand the five fans would add up to 650mA, would the ampere of the adapter damage the fans

Hey there R....with 5 motors at .13amp each you have a total of .65 amp a 1000ma x-former will give you 1amp you've got power to spare(.35 amp)...Amperage is a function of usage and having spare capacity is not harmful to you system....good luck with your Fans>>>From the E....

If your five fans are connected in series then the total amperage required would be .65 amps. Your adaptor is capable of delivering 1 amp (..1000mA..) Neither the fans nor the adaptor would be damaged. Understand that the current rating of the adaptor specifies the maximum current it's capable of handling, not the amount of current it *will* deliver.
