Are they on sale in the prison store?

In my state they are given out to inmates. The commissary does not sell them. It has lowered the transmission of disease, which we end up paying for.

So what are you doing time for? I didn't realise that jail birds get laptops and broadband!!! I have no idea if they sell condoms in prison. My guess is they don't, cos from what I can figure out, prisoners get everything for free anyway, so why not condoms too!

I believe condoms would be contraband as generally any sexual activity in the prision system is strictly forbidden, unless the facility allows conjugal visits, in which I'm not sure what the policy would be. There must be some way for the participants to use protects whether it is provided by the prision or is able to be brought in for that specific visit.

It was in interesting question, so I checked on it for you.
I could not find any info on what is for sale in the prison, but you can give an inmate condoms when you visit him/her.

They need to give them out to the prisoners, I know it is sick, but some of them do have sex in jail.

Not that I have ever heard of, except they should be available considering the prison population is one of the highest HIV populations.

probably, although I dont know why you would need condoms in a prison. its the same sex.
