I think Buddhism is ok in some of it's teachings which are very peaceful. What I don't agree with however is their belief in reincarnation and also I don't think it is necessary to live a life deprived of material things to be spiritual..it's about balance. So in that way it's very restrictive in it's belief system.

Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: It transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural and spiritual; and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity. -- Albert Einstein

it has been very helpful to my growth !

Buddhism does not teach that you should deprive yourself of everything. The idea is to be detached. You can own stuff without it owning you.
It also teaches "compassionate detachment", meaning that you can care about people, without letting them drag you into their morass (dramas).
I can personally say that I know of a number of my incarnations. Quite frankly, this is part of the evolution of the soul. When we are done with all the lessons our souls came to earth to learn through the many lifetimes, we get to go home... back to the face of God. If there is a lesson you just don't get, you get to repeat that grade.

sincerly thers is nothing bad to tell about buddhism...what i like about this religion is that thers is not blind beliefs...buddha said.: listen to my teachings, and i ask you to doubt them,so put them into pratice, then if it suits you , so gon on.....you have freedom to use teachings that suits you or that you want....the Dalai Lama said even if any of the teachings and philosophies suit you ,then anyaway the most important in life is to be good..thats all!!!

Buddhism doesnt say that if you are other faiths, then you are an infidel and that you are going to hell...

Buddhism is a modern religion..thats suits the 21th century the most...

i am ok with their way , but not the afterlife thing and karma.
they are the only religion that focus on self wareness and self control.
so far, i don't really encounter any buddhist trying to force ppl to convert into their religion.
my country is a mutli-religions country.

I am very interested in Biddhism. The thing I like most about it is that it's essentially less of a religion and more of an education.

1) Buddha said that ALL desires are wrong, how can that be?
2) Buddha said that he had reached a place of perfect knowledge and understanding; yet he was corrected by his disciples, not merely on timing, but on the very mission he set upon.
3) Buddhists don't believe in self, yet they look in themselves to find the answers they seek.
4) Buddha claimed to have an infinite number of births, yet he reached his final birth...How can an infinite number have finality?

Jesus is who He said He is. If you're looking for salvation the purpose of your life, turn to His word. God bless friend.
