This is a disaster for our trucking industry and our economy. I am a major shipper with 18 major truck companies in my fleet. They all have extremely high safety programs and training and still manage to be in accidents. This will get worse due to Bush's love for the corrupt goverment to our south.
Not to mention the drugs and Al Queda sneaking through . If the wait at the border is too long the inspectors are instructed to pass them through.

It absolutley is a problem for exactly the reasons you stated. The one that scares me the most is terrorists disguised as Mexicans sneaking across the border.

Yes we know. So does our Senate. Late on the evening of 9-11-07, Senators passed an amedment to the Dept of Transportation funding bill, which denies using the funds for the mexican truck project in any way, shape, or form, and it passed by more than 2/3 vote. The House also passed a very similar bill a few months ago, which passed with only 3 "nays" which is obviously more than 2/3 vote. So Bush can veto all he wants, it's too bad it won't matter (2/3 Congressional vote overrides the veto!!)

Thank God we all jumped on our Congressmen's backs and have stayed there ... a co-sponsor of the Senate amendment was Senamoron Arlen Specter, who usually has his head so far up Bush's butt we don't know where either one begins!

i'd like a proof myself. He suggested illegals, so it would not sound like the trucking software which isn't through start till Thursday. (And a chuffed exertions day recent to all our workers who would be positioned out of artwork, it truly is!) -- i attempted a information seek for burning autos and did no longer locate something. I have not have been given any concept what is going on. I see from some solutions that some are taking this in any different case than I did. you think of somebody SET some autos on hearth? i grew to become into thinking an twist of fate.

Well, the Senate and House have voted to block funding for the test program, and while Bush is threatening to veto the transportation bill, I'm expecting the veto to be overridden. I'm not sanguine, but I think it is fairly good odds.

Yes, it does bother me. My Representatives have heard an ear full from me.

People don't realize that the FIRST time that they will be searched is in the Kansas City Port. No, kidding...look it up to see that it is true! Bush is getting his North American Union...just like the EU except with the North America.

We realize it and the Senate and the House vow to end the pilot program, because of deaths that occured recently. The bad news is bush is so out of touch that he vowed to veto any action from congress. we are mad about it.

Actually lets be accurate:

0-45 minute wait time they will be inspected,
45-60 minutes only a partial inspection
over 60 minutes no inspection

Yes its a real problem and our President and his Administration should be ashamed.
