So far. I haven't nor am I planning to block anyone.
If you want to know people. You have to let them talk. To show who what they're all about. Let them speak to a limit.
There is so much a person can take.
First avoid those Rude, vulgar, and ignorant questions and answer; or, else fail might earn a member a block. I prefer to avoid it the best way I can.

There is something I do not understand here. What do you mean by block? Get a person's account suspended/deleted? Or just report him for violating community guidelines? Before the new guidlelines were implemented I got reported for two violations which had no basis at all.

I have only blocked a few that blocked me 1st. Why did they block me? Because I'm an atheist. I look at it as I wouldn't miss anything they would say anyways.

even though I probably have good reason to block more
but the one I block is a member of troll patrol

Being 38, I block the children who think they are all that. I don't need to babysit every hour of my life.

I block anybody who uses profanity or is rude...even if it is someones elses question they answer. I don't mind the disagreements, that is all part of learning...but it can be done in a proper family atmosphere.

I block people whom I suspect of being report monkeys, mainly. Also, a few who give consistently crappy and hateful answers.

Why does a body have to put up with abuse or just plain vulgar language or stupidity? I think it's nice to be able to block out those who are just here to see who they can aggrivate.
