in oder to be the Olympian he had to be a mortal to part take in the Games! he was said to be blond and rather athletic! A great archer!
And he became a God as he was said to be the son of Zeus!
Mortal son of a God!

I think you have Apollo confused with Dionysus.

Apollo NEVER was mortal, he was the son of Zeus and the Titaness Leto. Dionysus, on the other hand, was the son of Zeus ("God the Father") and the mortal woman Semele.

Also as Jesus was said to have turned water into WINE (which is VERY Dionysian if you ask me) and is said to have induced madness in his followers, you can easily see how the two could be related.

For more details about the similarities between Jesus and Dionysus read the following essay entitled "The Ivy-Covered Cross" by Sannion http://www.winterscapes.com/sannion/ivy_cross.htm

It is very interesting and he documents his sources well....

The only problem with Comparing Apollo to Jesus is that you are crossing religions here. If you look through Greek Mythology there are many son's of Zues and other Gods (Many of them had a wandering eye) comparing it to Christian Mythology there are plenty of people who could have been 'Jesus' and how do we know Jesus was blond and athletic?

All of the ideas known about Jesus have come from earlier gods. All of them.

This is a Catholic or Christian's perspective: Jesus Christ gave his life to us for our salvation. The Scriptures clearly assert the sinlessness of Christ: He was born “holy” (Luke 1:35). He was “without sin” (Hebrews 4:15); He was “holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners” (Hebrews 7:26).
and no one is perfected as Jesus Christ.

Dont cross religions.
I will not say much but did Apollo die a incomprehensible death for our sins?
There is no comparison because each religion has different views.
