If there absolutely is no god, then how did the universe come to be? you see, you may think you have all the answers, but you do not have this one. when I would ask you this question, you would reply as: well there was this huge "bang" and then we somehow got here because the "bang" was so big it made the universe. well, what caused the big bang? exactly. you don't know. i'm not saying positively that there is a god, but I'm saying you must be retarded if you say one cannot possibly even the smallest chance exist. everything is possible.

I don't have to have answer for this question because we will never truly be able to understand it. You may say a god created it, but you will never actually know that a higher being created it. You weren't there at the begining of time and neither was I.

I don't need to know how or why the world came into existence, all that matters is that it does exist and we should cherish and respect it.

Where did God come from? Why did he make us if not just for simple entertainment? Why do bad things happen to good people if God is just, and why do people not all get the same chances in life if you are doomed to Hell if not given enough time to accept Jesus? How could existence have just established in its current state if science shows that the universe has been expandind over billion of years, and our planet is not 5,000 years old, or flat, as the Bible suggests?

Yes, there is a chance that a god exists. But the odds of Jehovah being that God are slim to none.

Yes everything is possible. So is a teapot orbiting between earth and mars, yet if I believed that you'd think I were crazy.

Now, just because we don't know exactly what caused the Big Bang yet, doesn't mean we will never know. And when we do find out I'm sure god would have nothing to do with it.

Thanks for reminding me HUGZILL@: *drink*

1) Ever hear of the big bang?

2) Maybe you should look it up. We know a lot more details than you seem to.

3) The collapse of a previous universe.

4) Sure, there's a chance. Just like there's a chance you're a space alien. But the chances are small enough to be ignorable. Kinda like you don't worry about dying of the plague every time you pet your dog.

5) No, it isn't.

Atheism is simply a lack of belief in a god. Atheists don't believe in a god because there is no evidence for one, and many of them would believe in a god if some evidence was ever found. Only a small minority of atheists claim to know with 100% certainty that there is no god.

That's the beauty of science, there are limitless things that can be studied. This adds to the thrill of civilization, the progress of it. Think about hundreds of years ago when people thought the earth was flat. We are constantly shattering our views and replacing them with new ones. Being static in a always changing environment brings destruction.

This why you should read history because if you did you would know that "I don't know " is always a temporary answer. In time all "I don't knows " will become" I knows "
Btw If you want to lay claim to the moral high ground, you can't call anybody retarded -moral people don't say those kinds of things.

Try this:

The universe needs a creator.
So God created the universe.
So who made God?
God doesn't need a creator.
So things can exist without a creator?
Yes.
So the universe doesn't need a creator.

Gotcha.
