A bagpiper is a great addition to any Celtic or Scottish wedding, but first check with the ceremony site. Many have restrictions and the piper may need to be outside only, most are OK with that. I would also suggest to use the grooms family tartan for the kilts. Old Scottish tradition also had the bride draped in the grooms family tartan.

Here are some sites that may help with ideas, good luck:

Have you ever heard the song "Scotland the Brave"? It's used as a recessional a lot and there are some very good versions of it. If you want to hear it and maybe use it, I like the one on

There's one on there by The Texas Bagpiper and I love it.
That's my tidbit of advice for Scottish music.........

Be sure to explain (maybe in the program?) about your families' tartans and their significance, as well as the different accessories. At my friend's wedding, he and his dad were wearing very different kilts. He explained that he was wearing the clan's formal tartan and his dad was wearing a hunting tartan. It was super cool to know that fact -- it brought me into an ethnic experience that I was previously unfamiliar with.
