Write her a letter. When thats done, edit it. Re-write it with all your new edits. then edit again. Keep re-editing til your happy with it and it explains everything your feeling.
P.S: Dont be nasty, just state the facts. And remember its a 2-sided story so dont just blame everything on her.

Dear mum,
Lately i've been really upset because i cant connect with you like i used to. I try talking to you but either you end up yelling or i start crying.
etc, etc, etc,
Please give me back my mum!
Love your daughter.

You get the gist. Good luck

I'm willing to bet that between the hormonal surges that you are going through, and the hormonal surges that your mom is probably going through, that the place has got to be awash in funk!

Your mom sounds like she is going through perimenopause.
Might I suggest that both of you indulge in two preparations from the health food store? One is Evening Primrose Oil (gelcaps) and the other is Holy Basil (I like the New Chapter brand). Evening Primrose Oil balances out all the PMS and all that other stuff, including the cravings and fussiness.
The Holy Basil takes the cloud off your head and helps you to focus... it is a mood lifter... wonderful stuff... and it also is a powerful anti-oxidant (prevents colds).

You only have a few years before you are 18, so make the best of them. Consider spending as much time away from there as you can. You can participate in more school activities, you can study at a friend's house, you can get a job (or make one) that will take you away from there (and make some $$$). The trick is to get your chores at home done and keep your studies/grades up so you don't get in trouble.

I have an idea for your wall... hit the local Toys-R-Us baby gear department... they have a flat rubber pad with cloth glued to both sides of it that you are supposed to put underneath the sheets in the baby's bassinette... this makes a wonderful LARGE canvas that takes well to acrylic paint, markers and whatever else. That way, you can save the art, you won't damage the walls, and you don't have to re-paint to clear more wall space.

Maybe something is bothering your mom. Sometimes adults can't or don't feel like they should share things with a child (usually for a good reason) that are bothering them. Maybe they are having some money issues, job issues, spouse issues, depression or yes possibly hormonal issues. Sometimes these things are hard to control but it should not be taken out on you. Try to give your mom a little room and when she gets angry at you try to keep a level head. If it still persist then you must talk with her when you are calm and tell her how you feel, just like you did with us.
When it comes to the lyrics, it's awesome that you can express yourself through that form of art. I have always had a passion for music (not writing the lyrics though) so I do get it BUT if I were your mom I would flip out too if you were painting lyrics on the walls. You should get some kind of notebook to put the lyrics in. Then you can take the notebook anywhere and have it handy to write down thoughts/lyrics anytime you think of them. Who knows you may be a great musician in the future! Good Luck :-)

i know just how you feel. im 17 and me and my mom are going through this as well. what i do is i write my thoughts in a journal in poem or song form and leave them around the house where i think she will see it. sometimes it backfires sometimes it works. i have ran away before and that was a mistake but at times i still want to. there is nothing we can do just ride the ride it has to end sometime you know. or at least i hope so.

Instead of using the wall, get an sketch book and use that. Both of you sound like you are PMS'ing at the same time. Just chill outl
