Since you didn't specify which native was that, all I can say is some stuff I learned from native Americans:

- Emphasized the sacrednesses of the planet we live on, the word "mother earth" is very common
- Acknowledge the mystery embedded in reality "The great Mystery" as the Sioux used to call the source, or "The great Spirit" as some other tribes call it.
- Described the physical world (and us) comprised of four great elements: Water, Air, Fire, Earth

It was more like a connection of man with its surrounding, and honoring all that's around ... pretty decent for me.

As for Christianity, it's hard to tell, since we might never agree on what the real Jesus (if he ever existed) really taught, but assuming you're referring to mainstream Christianity were dogma and super natural explanations abound (resurrection, virginal births, that other more ancient God figures also performed - Mithra, Osiris to name a few) the difference is quite obvious.

Hope that helps.

Christianity teaches "manifest destiny" which is the concept that God has made all things for them to use as they like.

The Natives believed nature and the gifts from the earth were a blessing that should be preserved, respected and shared.

The Christians considered it their right to take whatever they wanted because GOD had promised them the world.

The same attitude that is shown with the Jews in Palestine today.

If Muslims were not so "violent" they would be in reservations after being "civilized" through gambling and alcohol.

christianity was a native belief of the judaic region which spread to achieve near worldwide distribution. Though without emperor Constantine converting to Christianity it is questionable if it would have achieved that. In spreading, Christianity has been accepted by people of a wide variety of ethnic origins, therefore it can't be called a tribal religion any more.
A tribal religion would be (in my view) a religion in which ethnic identity and religious beliefs coincide. '
You could look up beliefs of ethnic tribes in different continents (e.g. australian aboriginal, tribal African like Yorube, Bamana, Zulu or Kuba, or native american like navajo, hopi, inuit, zuni). there are many others.
Ever heard of google?

The pronounced purpose of Christianity is the conversion of the international. They have been not greater or much less aggressive in that job they the Muslim are right this moment. they think of that saving our souls no rely what's an act of kindness considering the fact that they're proper and purely attempting to keep us from hell. My kinfolk prevented conversion yet we additionally paid a extreme cost to proceed to be unfastened. we could be common nonetheless. The colonization of the Americas grow to be approximately greed. The we ought to transform them ploy grow to be in simple terms that to maximum. considering the fact that we weren't Christian it grow to be okay to scouse borrow from us and injury us. maximum did no longer even evaluate us human. regrettably the did and do worse to them selves. Like and previous Cheyenne advised me. They forgot they're area of the international. What bugs me is that maximum of my community brothers have this Nirvanic view of what life grow to be formerly 1492. We have been doing the proper comparable element to ourselves. purely we've been common approximately our reasons. look on the Lakota. They did to the Kiowa what the U. S. did to all and sundry. purely distinction is we did no longer have an prepared faith. one greater element. The Europeans did no longer win. They mopped up after the illnesses they inadvertnly presented almost wiped us out interior the 1500's. They question is what took them see you later.

The most important difference that I have noticed was that the Native Religions MEMBERS seem to have chosen to worship the CREATION instead of the CREATOR.
