Get her a copy of "The Secret" DVD... it goes into how that kind of stuff manifests into more and more stuff to complain about. They have some excellent examples.

Listen... there are people who spend their whole lives fussing and moaning and complaining. There are "do-bees", "wanna-bees" and "never-will-bees"... and I will add to that, "whiner-bees". When you look at the people and relationships around you... ask yourself what each one brings to the table... then hang out with the ones that bring something worth sharing.

YOU dont. Unless you are actually the one with the problem. Dont worry about it, my mums just the same and she wouldnt be who she is if she didnt. I turn my ears off when it gets too much but otherwise i'll sit and let her moan and we come up with a few ideas to solve them.
