The mind first takes in knowledge about God and Christ. As one comes to know more and more about God, one grows to love him and put faith in him. (John 17:3, Hebrews 11:6)

"Faith is not belief, it is confidence, like when a lion walks through the woods." A.R. Orage
Faith is misinterpreted as belief, this is not the case, the relationship between the emotional mind and faith is self knowledge, and believing in yourself rather than something else is the starting point. To completely say that there is no such thing as higher powers in the universe is also wrong, we are very small in comparison with the rest of the universe and have a responsibility to fulfill here on earth. The only thing is that people don't know of their duty anymore, this knowledge has been lost, and people don't see the connection between various systems that are linked to form a complete whole, a great cosmos that should be respected and maybe worshiped as a creator of all things, no matter what the process truly is. The starting point is self knowledge, and later when you know yourself you will know also the external world.
The majority of the people on here seem to be candidates for a lunatic asylum, they believe in themselves in the wrong way with false confidence, bad faith. They seem to like to parrot along with various things they may have read or heard from someone else, but are afraid to question things and think for themselves. "To accept a faith just because it is customary, means to be dishonest, to be cowardly, to be lazy." Nietzsche

Emotions have nothing to do with faith. We can get emotional about anything, even a lie. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1, A good example, believing is seeing, seeing is not believing because you have already seen it. Our emotions can cause serious problems if we don't control them. Faith will cause no problems, it is the evidence of things not seen. Our Bible tells of evidence of things not seen, by Faith I believe in them. Not by emotions. Every morning when you get up you can choose to be happy or sad, I choose to just be happy because I have faith that I will have a good day in the Lord.

Let me take last one First;
Faith says what God says: From His Written Word;His anointing rest on His Word,It is put into Action when You Hear and when You Speak it;The Holy Spirit gives conviction to a Sinner;
No matter what things look like,feels like; It is Your Faith that ignites it;Everyone on this Planet
has been given a Measure of Faith;Faith will grow
when used,Don"t use it and it will shrink;Now to the Emotions,That part of You can have many voices, like Anger-laughter-depressed-and there are more, this is where the battle is Demons like to work in this area it is "Familiar" to them;You as a Believer have been given the Authority ,With the help of Holy Spirit and God"s Word to be an overcomer in all areas,Your Weapon ,It Is Written ,Jesus has taken my Sins away;God"s Word is Your Strength;It is Written He bore my sickness;The Bible read it every day and speak it out loud ; Never go against a Giant with Your mouth closed.

Each man has a mind that is fleshly in nature. When a man is born again, the fleshly nature becomes under the control of the spiritual nature. The end result is a physical mind at war with the spiritual mind. This battle will wage until Christ comes and takes us from this earth.
Yet, the less physically minded, the less worldly a man is who has become reborn in his spirit, the more spiritual or Christlike the man becomes.
A believer comes to know that by faith, Jesus has come into his heart and the more we rely on him and not ourselves, the more he will life his life without sin through us.
When a man is born again, the image in the mirror is cloudy, and still mostly resembles the physical man, but the more Christ lives in that man, the more the image becomes Christlike.

Well sir, you say every woman has treated you this way? That is a lot of women! Realistically this is invalid. Now I can tell you that patience is a virtue. My husband was the man you are. He was used and treated badly. Such a sweet man too. As you can figure out he is happily married. I think you should set boundaries and stop wearing your heart on your sleeves. Dont open up too quickly and you wont get hurt as easily. Not all woman are the same. I can GARUNTEE that! It seems that you were a sheltered individual growing up and maybe it is time to change direction. Here are some sites that you can visit and meet new people. Every person deserves a chance, even the ones that get hurt.

An emotional mind relies on faith. Faith is belief based on emotional wants and needs.
This is opposite of a rational mind that relies on observation, evidence, and reason. A rational person doesn't mind that facts don't always follow what you want the truth to be.

Emotions are opposite of faith. Faith is believing without any evidence. Emotions are taken as evidence.
That is why Christians walk by faith not feelings.

I dare say science doesn't know all there is to know about our soul, the mind, the will, the emotions. And I think God designed us to need him and that's why there are so many varities of addictions to take his place. There is a void to fill. Scientists, whether they admit it or not, instinctively know this. Emotion is not just crying or laughing or happy or sad. There is passion. What makes someone passionate? And why? People often die for what they believe in. There's got to be a reason as dying for a cause goes against all non emotional reason. does it not?

a person can be emotional without placing undo faith in the matter . but faith only goes in one direction and that's become all too often foolish . emotions as foolish as they may at ties be or seem are much less directional as they can be negative or positive . the two do sometimes support one another and when they are bereft of thinking rational reason are prone to be dangerous .
