It has nothing to do with being spayed or intact..it is caused by the ph in the urine.. The high ph causes the burning..ph is often affected by the food a dog eats.

Actually the burn spots are from their urine. The nitrogen in the urine causes the brown spots, there is a lot of fix its you can make to put on the burn spots or there is an all natural tonic that uses cola and some other ingredients. You can go to http://www.jerrybaker.com and see if he has the rest of the ingredients there. Also if you click the other link I provided they also have suggestions.

All urine burns lawn: intact dogs, fixed dogs, females, spayed, cats, humans.

During agility classes, my trainer has everyone carry white poker chips and place them on the spot their dog urinates. She has a couple of jugs of water, and the owners go when they have a chance and dilute the urine with the water (where the poker chips are)

Anyways, I thought that was pretty clever.

The acid in your dogs urine is what's causing the burns in the lawn.
Try watering your lawn down, or having your dogs go in a different spot for a while.
...Having a dog neutered has nothing to do with their bladder systems. They are two different organs.

Spaying has nothing to do with how potent the urine is, or if it will or will not kill spots in the grass. Best thing is to watch where they go and then proceed to water it down to dilute the urine.

I didn't think spaying had anything to do with it. I thought it was due to the nitrogen found in the urine. I agree, go to your local pet store and get treats/pills designed to eliminate this problem.

I think spaying actually makes it worse. But luckily they make treats and vitamins that you can give to your dog to dilute the urine so it wont ruin your yard. hopefully you have a petsmart nearby becuase thats where i saw it.
