I've been drinking a 16 oz. bottle of Pepsi a day for as long as I can remember, and that came with a price (I've packed on a few unwanted pounds). So now I buy a gallon of Food Lion sweet tea to last me through the week. How much healthier is a glass of sweet tea, than a 16 oz. Pepsi anyway, or is it not healthier?? Am I making a good decision or should I go to something else?? Just wondering.....

Well, if I do switch over to a drink like unsweet tea or juice it's gonna take a while to get used to because, honestly, I need sugar! Haha! It's my guilty pleasure. I'm a sugar-holic. After a tough day at work and school, I need that caffeine!

it is not any healthier than drinking a glass of sugar water,,, anything with sugar will break down in to fat and if you dont excercise well then you will pack on a few more pounds.. if you must drink something sweet try fruit juice,,,, real fruit juices,, not fruit drinks which are crap...and there i good old water, no calories,no fat... if you want to drink tea then drink the real tea, like a green tea but with no sugar added..

It is only healthier in that it is not carbonated. Other than that, it's not good! Can you try drinking unsweet tea? Or mix half unsweet with sweet until you get used to the taste? The sugar is what is putting on the weight, not the caffiene or the bubbles!

Try slowing adding less sugar! If you start changing, then within a month you'll be down to at least half the sugar and feel much better!!! The caffiene lies in the drink, not the sugar! If that's the jolt you're looking for, you'll easily reduce the sugar! :)

both are loaded with high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). HFCS is a major contributor for an increase in body fat for many people. basically the more body fat a person has the less simple sugars there should be in the diet. the level of body fat is a direct indicator of the bodies current ability to metabolize and utilize nutrients.

Sodas have gas, which makes your stomach expand, can give heartburn and damage your kidneys if drank too much or for too long.
Tea is way healthier, even if it has added sugar.

Both of those have tons of sugar in them and no nutrional value. I'd recommend going with something like flavored water with no calories if you want something sweet.

water would be better for u. But if u are like me, u like the carbonation and the caffeine. Tea would be ok, and it has redeeming qualities, but go for water, and tea. Good luck!

Tea is a 100 times better. It doesn't have all the gas inside and it doesn't blow up your stomach.
