When Atheists say that people that believe in a God are wrong? "Saying what proof do you have?" What proof do they have that there is no God. When Atheists say "Describe to me how you know there is a God" That's like trying to describe salt to someone who's never tasted salt it can't be done.

Now Post.

ALL YOU CHRISTIANS. Arguing about the existence of God will not convince anyone. They only thing that will change their minds is prayer and your examples of obeying the Ten Commandments, kindness, generosity, patience, and other Christian virtues. (Serving the sick, help to prisoners, comfort the afflicted, feed the hungry, etc).

I don't really think there is a question here, but the burden of proof is on the person making the claim.

If you say there is a god then prove it.

If not the only DEFAULT position is that it does not exist. In this way the atheist claim that god does not exist is valid until a theist can prove that a god does in fact exist.

Thunderkat:
Do you believe in Zeus? Does that make you narrowminded, or rationale?

There is no proof for your god, or any god. Therefore the ONLY rational position is that god does not exist. If god can not be seen, measured, or interacted with, then for our sake, it does not exist.

(Shakes Head)

You Christian folk don`t have any idea about how proof works! Do you? Proof my friend does not work both ways. You see when we prove that something is true we look for evidence to substantiate the claim.
Things that don`t exist have a
"Lack of Proof, a Lack of Evidence"
Concerning god there is not a lack but absolutely NO PROOF.

Morally, Scientifically, Logically - there is no good reason to believe there`s some all powerful critter in the sky. Now have you mama read you a bedtime story (Bible) before you go to sleep, and have her tuck you in. Because you don`t want to have any bad dreams (REALITY!)

If you ask someone whether they believe in God, and they say, "No," then that person is an atheist. If you ask them what PROOF they have that there is no God, they can simply say, "You haven't offered me enough proof that there IS a God, so I don't believe in it."

Let me say it again. NOT BELIEVING IN GOD IS ATHEISM!

You don't have to PROVE a negative to be an atheist. All you have to do is be unconvinced by the arguments of the theists.

Or like describing a drug trip to somebody who doesn't take drugs?

If you could prove god (and you can't) god would quit belonging to the realm of religion and move to the realm of science. I don't think you would like that at all.

don't you think your screen name should be bescheidenerKrieger oder verzichtest Du ganz auf Grammatik? sorry, I just tend to notice those things...

Ugh. Okay, look. When you guys claim that there's an all-powerful sky daddy ruling over the universe, the burden of proof lays on you. Why the hell would we have to disprove something so ridiculous?

The question wasn't directed at me but I agree. So many say that there is no God and that those who believe in God do so in blind faith, yet their claim that there is no God also rests on blind faith. Its like they believe that if something cannot be touched, seen, heard, or measured in some way, then it must not exist, yet then fail to see the irony of calling Christians "narrow-minded".

Oh for F sakes!
The burden of proof is on YOU, not me, to prove the existence of your mythological sky-pixie.
What proof do you have that my magic milk-jug doesn't exist?
See how that works? Only a moron asks for proof of non-existence.

It's not our burden of proof. If I told you a tiny little fairy just stole an apple from my kitchen and you didn't believe me, why would *you* have to prove it didn't exist?

If god was real he would show himself to all. Why would he want to be a mystery and hide from his creation. Common sense.
