Leave the puppies alone - obviously the mother doesn't trust you and she's protecting her puppies. The puppies don't need anything from you for 4 weeks except to be kept warm and have their bedding changed regularly. The mother also needs to be taken to the vet for her post-natal exam. While you're there the vet can give you advice on feeding the puppies when the dam starts weaning them around 4 weeks. The vet can also tell you when the pups need worming.

Leave it with mom to feed for the first few weeks. Get a book or several from the library about raising puppies or contact a local breeder with questions. They are usually glad to help. Mom is just being a mom. She'll get nervous but if you just sit by her and don't do anything to alarm her or the baby she should be fine. If she turns aggressive DO NOT let her get away with it but don't be overly harsh as she's just doing what comes naturally. Good luck with the new baby.

Some dogs are very protective of their pups, she sees you as a threat to her puppy.
The puppy doesn't need water or anything, unless mom isn't producing enough milk, then you'd supplement with puppy milk replacer.
At around 3-4 weeks you can introduce gruel. This is high quality food soaked in water until its mushy. To start it should be fairly liquidy and you gradually reduce the amount of water until the pup can eat solid kibble.

some mother dogs are uptight when you go to touch thier kids its very normal. generally the dog you have wouldn't do this but some do anyhow. its ok. if the baby is 6 to 7 weeks start giving it canned food with water. mix with water. its because they dont' drink that much water yet and dont' want them to get dehydrated. do this for several mos and then hit for dry dog food. if you read what ingredients is in it you will see that the first word must be meat to be good for them

The puppy should get everything it needs from it's mother til about 5-6 weeks when you can start introducing puppy food mush.
I really suggest you read more about this! It's very scary when someone is so inexperienced and they are breeding dogs!
The mom's job is to keep her babies safe..and it really isn't a good idea to make her so nervous/aggressive..especially if she is a new mom..who knows what she will do out of fear! Of course you should always keep an eye on the babies and mom to make sure they are okay and she is taking good care of them but it really isn't a good idea to stress her out!

start on puppy chow or any food of your choice at 5-6 weeks old. let him/her stay with it's mother until 8 weeks.
She's aggressive because well i don't know why, my females were never aggressive..she's probably just worried about their safety, once they get a couple Weeks old then I'm sure she'll let your play with them.

Please make arrangements with your vet to have your female spayed as soon as she has recovered from the birth process. Only knowledgeable experts should be breeding dogs.
