Yes, they accept everyone, although the majority is LDS. When I attended I had a few Muslim friends from Jordan that were going there because of the moral standards. Every student has to sign a paper (I can't remember the name) but it describes the rules that are to be followed that most college-age people would think are ridiculous, like being chaste, not drinking, wearing shorts that cover the knees, etc.

Yes, your friend can go to BYU without being a Mormon. He will have to take the required religion classes like anyone else, but that's the only difference between a private school and a public school - other than tuition. BYU also has an honor code that he will have to adhere to.
Men can go on missions from 19 - 24 (EDIT: It looks like everyone else says it's 26, but I thought you had to be on your mission by 24, so you could finish by 26. Just what I heard)
Women can go on missions starting at age 22 (EDIT: My mistake again, now I remember it is 21. I don't know why I thought it was 22.)

Yes. I attended BYU and knew a handful of Non-Mormons there. One of them even got baptized there. The school is close to 99% Mormon, however. Your friend will be expected to pay a slightly higher tuition, too, considering part of the school's expenses are funded by tithing paid by members of the Church, but he'd still be getting a bargain for attending a well-known and respected private university. I believe the age limit for leaving on a mission is 25, but I could be wrong.

Yes he can go, the rates will be a little higher though for him. I think he will have to get a recommendation from clergy- If he does not have a clergy, they may have him interview with an LDS bishop or something I am not sure. I know when i was looking at BYU, you had to have your bishop sign a reccomendation or something.
Men are 19 when they go on their missions- I think their cut off age is 26 when they are too old to go.
Women have to be 21 to go on a mission and I don't believe there is an age when women are too old to go on a mission.

If you have good references, they are even more likely to accept you than a nonmormon. I know the highest mission age you can still go is 26 (most go at 19).... so tell your friend to apply, BYU is a good school (even with this many of us mormons going to it!:)

There are non-members who attend BYU. The standards are really high, because so many people want to go. And the tuition is higher for non-members because they don't tithe to the church. Same as if a state college (i.e. Ohio State)charges higher tuition to out of state (i.e. Michigan) students, cause they don't pay taxes to that state (Ohio's) taxes.
I think you can go up to age 25 or 26, but I'm not sure.

your friend can be accepted at BYU, but since the majority of students are mormon, your friend might feel left out. I'm just saying.

He has a better chance of getting into BYU than I do. They will let anyone in that can make it and agree to abide by the rules.
Men go at 19. Women go at 21.

Yes, a non member can enroll. There is an honor code. It is the number one 'cold sober' rated school. There are no Greek frat/sor organizations. It has to be the best place to actually get an education rather than a 4 year long party.
