Does anyone know if I were to create something on word on a computer other than mine can I send it to my computer and use and edit it with openoffice? I do not have word on my computer but can read files with openoffice. I would have to use the library computer to create the file. What I want to create is a template for a 3x5 index card with a photo, or logo, then print it and send to Baseball players, celebrities to sign for my collection. If you know please help me. Thanks now for any and all help.

Yes. Assuming the remote computer does not have Word 2007.

If it does have 2007 then you have to save as an older format .doc file.

Yes, Microsoft word and OpenOffice are completely compatible, but you could always save as an rtf file.
