In my yard, a neighbor's handsome large tabby patiently, diligently courted our Fe. tabby for 6 months. He wooed her by letting her eat his tuna (which we put out for him), fought off all her suitors, just stared intently at her from 2 feet away, and so much more. She completely avoided/rejected him all that time . He finally won her over. They were inseparable for 10 days. Then, all of a sudden, he ignores her, walks past her (a bit to her dismay) even sneaks into our home 2,3X a day, eats her food, rejects her meow-advances (we catch him eating, and he scurries off). My beau and I think he just wanted sex and food. He looks like a playboy too!!

That is probably what happened but if you didnt hear any "cat in pain" noises then there was no action, and you would of heard noises before thoses noises that would of sounded the same and that would be your cat in heat(that is the only time they can mate). Sex is painful for female cats cause the male cats penis has barbs on it that keep her in place until its done and she doesnt like it. Your cat would prbably have scratches on it too, but not bad ones. I can garuntee that is what happened if you heared thoses noises but if you didnt it might not have happened at all. If your cats spayed then there is no way that happened. same if the guys neutered.

You dont mention wether the cats are fixed. If not fixed then your female was putting off phermones in her urine and scent marks. This attracted the tom cat, who probably let her eat his food etc, because he was so focused on her. Defending territory and running off other male cats assures him of the best chances to mate. After mating, you kitty was no longer putting out the alluring scent of cat-in-heat, so lost interest.
I agree with the others who say get your cat to the vet to see if A. she is pregnant or B. to get spayed.

I think you are right.

Oh! Your poor puss must feel so down. But thats males for you.

Now I would have checked by the vet to see if their will be any small surprises in the not so near distant future.

If so, lucky you :)

Well then you are lucky and a good and responsible pet owner for having your girl spayed and the tom is a beast!
