No. Our government can't support it (economically). We can't take in all of the poor and still survive. Mexico does not have a social security number system, so, "keeping track" of who is who is nearly impossible. There are already cultural problems between the 2 cultures within our borders. These will surely increase as more people come to this country. It is a ridiculous, disastrous, and, dangerous plan that will leave us with no middle class and no safe ground.....

HELL no. It's just another weak attempt at throwing away our beloved Bill of Rights. I think that there's an underlying issue going on. Call me a tin-foil hat-wearing conspiracy nut, but would it be all that impossible for the powers that be to incite Americans into a physical civil war with mexico, thereby creating the "need" for martial law, which would then give the sitting president the right to call off ALL civil rights, suspend elections for an indeterminant time, and basically set himself up as dictator? Yeah I know, take some Motrin and get some sleep ...

No, the US would wind up being the welfare provider for all of Mexico, not just illegal aliens and the ones to whom they send money back there. Canada and the US both stand to lose greatly which is ridiculous, especially considering the resources Mexico could be developing and the wealth there. Their wealthy would simply get richer, and US taxpayers would be paying higher taxes to provide services for Mexico.
The nations in the EU with the highest paid workforces are being taxed out the rear so the EU can give aid to the underdeveloped nations.
I support withdrawing from NAFTA, securing our border and deporting illegal aliens from all nations.

No. There too many cultural differences. There are the French speaking people to the north of us. Also, not only is there a great difference in the Spanish and Dutch (in the West Indies) speaking and from here to the South America, but in many of these countries there are many American Indian languages in use, which are recognized by local governments.

No, It would be economically unwise, it would also be a power struggle for control between the nations, the rich would make out like bandits and the middle class would have to take on an even bigger burden. The United States and Canadian school systems would be over crowded as well as our hospitals and clinics AND our sovereignty would be gone (that last one is a biggie in my book).

AmandaH and NoAmnesty4u have both stated it quite nicely. In short, I agree with what they have said.
