Yes, there is a God. One God and one God alone, he is the beginning and the end. How do I know this is true? Ever since I've started believing in God it has impacted my life in so many ways... Life has a purpose, a meaning, and everything that happens, happens for His will. He loves you and everyone around you, thats why he sent his son to die for you. Don't let the opportunity pass you up. He IS REAL and He WANTS to help you.

Yes, Brooke, I believe in the one true living God...the one in the Bible....the only one. Don't let Satan tempt you to believe in anything else, as I'm sure many of the answers you receive will do. And don't blame tragedies like Katrina on God. There's not one single word in the Bible that says bad things won't happen. God created nature and nature will take it's course. The only (and best) promise God gives us is that He will protect our soul if we give it to Him.

Katrina has nothing to do with a higher power. There has been disasters since the earth was formed, in fact WHEN the earth was formed. Katrina may have been close to you but it was tame in comparison to what has preceded and will supercede it.
Don't need no man in the sky to explain that.

Well first off, Read the Bible it clearly states about the worsening conditions towards the end days. I only see these things as fulfilling scripture and all the more reason to totally believe in God. You would definitely be a fool not too.

Katrina was a flood and a storm caused by unfortunate weather patterns. Is that the higher power you mean ?

Believe in god as in the word describing the concept of powerful, invisible, occassionally anthropomorphized creatures often involved in creation of the world or governance of natural phenomenon. Yep, I'm sure that that is a word.

God was once called Mana by some of the Ancients
Mana simply meant: Energy!
Everything is creating by energy and in return creates it back. Now thats a real harmonic balance!!
I was even created by energy and continued the domino effect to you earthlings and other beings, planets thats all within my solar system!

I believe in my Father, and since he is a well regarded Pastor in my community, I also believe in what he preaches, which is Christianity, and God. Even without the urging of my father, I still believe in God.

doesn't higher power mean "God" ?
what like aliens or something ? if they're such a higher power, then why don't they show their face ? is it cause they know we can destroy them ?
a higher power is God, we as humans need to figure out who he is. Me personally, I think it's Jesus Christ.
It can only be one higher power right ? cause you don't see a war going on up there in space.

Nope. No reason to think any higher power is in charge of anything. If one WAS, the world would be a better place.
