Yes it is a country and continenet. No, only Australia is there.
EDIT: The answer by DetroitDublin is very incorrect. Don't listen to him. Papua New Guinea and New Zealand are NOT part of Australia. Tasmania is a state in Australia, but not part of the main continent, it's an island to the south. Just take a look at a world map and you'll see. Try http://maps.google.com and scroll down to Australia. You'll see what I mean. Good luck.

Yes it is both a country and a continent, the worlds largest Island continent infact ! Tasmania is a state of Australia, the "apple Isle". PNG was once an Australian province or "territory" but not now and it's actually a running joke that NZ is apart of Australia, but don't dare mention that to the kiwis !

Its the worlds smallest continent and the worlds largest island. Go figure :) It is almost the size of Europe and has the one language with almost no local dialects spoken.

yes, it is both. If my memory serves right, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, and Tazmania are also part of Australia the continent.
