The cost of a call depends on a few things:

- If you are calling landline to landline or,
- landline to cell phone or,
- cell phone to cell phone and,
- Which phone carrier/provider you are using.

To find out the rates of calling the U.K. then visit the website for your landline or cell phone provider.

It would however be cheaper to get an international calling card. You can pick them up from a 7/11 or similar places and just put $10/$20 on it.

The cheapest method though is the one outlined above, as it's free.

Def do the skype thing if you can, That has saved me a ton of money. But my fiance is in taunton, England for a month and I live in chicago. I onl have a mobile along with him only having a mobile. So I had to get an international calling card from verizon (we both have verizon phones) and for $30 I get 46 mins plus airtime (unless I call weekends or nights). It is really expensive but he does not have a readily available computer to access so it is the only way.

If you call from computer to computer, it's free with Skype (both computers must get the free download from http://www.skype.com) or very cheap, if you call from your computer to a landline. You need a headset to avoid the echo.

Hope that helps!
