What if you could do your favorite pastime or hobby or see friends/family that you really like and do things with them without ever getting tired or sleepy or hungry and be able to travel without limitations. You could visit anyplace you'd like almost instantly, no sorrows or pains, no bills to pay or work to do, no doubts or fears about your future or health or historical figures you admire and would like to talk to or see past events....think about the possibilites. Eternity seems like an awful long time because we measure time as humans but in heaven it will be much different. At my age in life, there's a zillion things I'd like to do and see and will probably never get the chance to.

Consider this:
Eternity does not have a length or duration. In order for something to be long or short, it has to have a beginning and an end.
If you want to experience eternity, simply think about space. How big is space? Does it have a beginning or an end? Where does space come from? Does it go anywhere when something occupies it?
If you get all dizzy and your stomach gets a little tense, you are beginning to experience eternity. The problem is, it scares the holy hell out of your self-concept, which wants to have a fixed, single, and seperate identity.

God makes each moment so to speak joyful and new and exciting, it never becomes dull. People will enjoy heaven to varying degrees, according to how they spend their life now. If they are pavaroti fans and love music they will enjoy the heavenly tunes, if they loved to pray and be near to Jesus in the tabernackles today, and at adoration to spend that holy hour with Jesus as he requested when he was in the garden then I think these will enjoy his company and be the closest , I beleive there will be degrees of pressence. Like you go to see the pope, some will be right next to him and get to shake his hand while others will be far off, they will still be in his pressence but not as near. Or I could use in stead of the pope , say "the president of the united states" some are nearer to him than others but all would be in his pressence.
I want to be one of those that are very near.

There is no "time" in eternity. And yes, it's hard to grasp that with our finite minds. God, however, is infinite and created heaven for His adopted children.
What a glorious thing!

I feel the exact same way. I almost think it would be boring. Yet, all I've known is earth, and here, everything comes to an end. I'm sure when we get to heaven, we'll feel differently!

You ARE thinking too limited. Don't you have any curiosity? Human curiosity is without end. How does that work? Why does it work? Can I make it better? What is new and exciting?
