Looks like everyones afraid of this question!

From what i've seen, most people simply believe the religion they were raised, that of spouses, converted by a friend...

Most of the time, people are usually swapping around subcategories of there religion, not totally changing.

I guarantee anyone will tell you without a seconds pause how right there beliefs are, yet at the same time have absolutely no knowledge of ones they have not experienced.

Then of course theres always the prisoner turned muslim; this is usually because of the strict rules of the religion (rationale is the better behaved i am now, the better my rewards).

This is one of the questions i asked myself that ended with me becoming an atheist.

Mainly, it is the parents religion. Next is the one that is closest to home. Then the one where business contacts go to. Lastly, is what they actually believe.
