I have tried changing her food (dry), and the only thing that seems to help is the steroid shot, but they say that can cause cancer. Anybody have any Ideas? She is like 2 years old, and is a little different like she has the sweetest temperament, and is a little clumsy.

Steroids generally help if there is some inflammatory process. Did the vet say anything about that. The chance of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, which can sometimes cause vomiting as well as diarrhea. Clearly, there is a problem. Maybe ask the vet what differnet things it could be and what do you do to make a diagnosis. If the vomiting is not severe and causes the cat no other problems, you may elect to skip steroids, do to the side effects which can include diabetes.

The vet really is the answer here. If she is allergic to something in food, the vet has specific hypo-allergenic diets that you can try.

Talk to the vet in detail!!!

My cat had the same problem for years. After treating her for gastritis and giving her antibiotics and anti-vomiting medicine (nothing worked), I switched to moist food and the problem is solved. The problem seems to be the dry food of any kind.
Find the best possible food if you can afford it. Another alternative is small dog canned food, this is what my cat eats and she loves it!.
Ask your vet before trying this.
Good luck!

If you are not sure re schedule another appointment with that vet or better yet get a second opinion and take those medical records to the second vet.

Sometimes symptoms don't show at the time of the x-rays.CBCs or ultra-sounds. and once taken later may just reveal the problem.

Guidance is all that I can offer.

I had/have the same problem, to a tee. Had to go on CraigsList to ask for help.
Rescued a very unwanted abandoned cat 8 yrs. ago (age unknown), gone thru 2 owners that I'm aware of who complained of unknown constant puking.
I spent over $1400. trying to find out what's wrong with her.
Pukes in excess of up to 11 times daily. Typically yellow frothy greenish slime, nothing of substance.(waken up during night with gagging sound,... puke in purse, paperwork, sofa, everywhere, have stepped on it countless times barefooted!)
Had a vets give all tests (full panel) and X-rays and even had an outdr. cat enclosure built so she could eat grass.
Thanks to CL readers, I was inundated with the suggestion of "Yogurt",... remarkably squirting a 3-4 CC syringe of it into side of her mouth in morning and once at night did wonders!
After yrs. of near breakdown with the sleepless nights and hours of clean-up, my cat's gagging puke times has greatly diminished,... notice that maybe days without.
So try some yogurt.
