Can we?
Yes. I do... we just know that when we allow ourselves to be ruled by them, problems come.
Galatians 5:22-26 "But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these.
And those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death their human nature with all its passions and desires.
The Spirit has given us life; he must also control our lives.
We must not be proud or irritate one another or be jealous of one another. "
None of us are a mindless, soulless automaton... we love, we hurt, we have compassion and know that when angry - we are not to fall into sin.
A fruit of the Spirit is self control - not emotionlessness.
Peace.

I'm not familiar with any denominations Traditions that support what you are asking about. I'm not sure if it is true that every action or inaction has an emotion behind, but plainly put, emotions are part of what it is to be a human being and therefore, they are a good thing. That doesn't mean that they should rule our lives, that would be a disorder. But they should be a positive input. Hope this helps.

Um....is this a trick question?
Yes. We can, in fact the most important of them is Love. Love for God and love for everyone. There are some who don't practice what they preach. I'll admit that I even find myself angry at something and it will blind me slightly to the love I really do have for mankind and the hope of people coming to Jesus for salvation, but the anger would never snuff out the love, and love always overcomes in the end.
Emotions are not worldly. It's how those emotions are used that could make them worldly.

Yes.
"And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit."
That doesn't sound so worldly to me.
Don't feel, don't sing, don't dance, drink no wine and make no joyful noise doesn't seem to have much Biblical support. Do some Christians believe these? Yep. But some believed in the Holocaust and the Inquisition and burning their neighbors as witches also.

Hopefully, every person on Earth has emotions.
Of course we have emotions. We feel love, fear, sadness...Why would you think otherwise?
