hello. ive been thinking alot about converting my religion to islam. im currently a catholic & never really believed in it, except things like jesus christ died on the cross & we will go to heaven if we do good stuffs & all that. & ive been learning about islam for about four or five months now & really believe in it, yet i still have doubts about this world. doubts like.. why everythings like this & i need some better explanations about life & this world. also, when you want to convert, you just gotta say the lines "there is no god, but allah, and muhammed is his messenger" in arabic. then suppose you already convert & now is a muslim, but you dont know how to pray yet? i mean, do you have to know the rules & everything about islam & be preparing to pray before you can convert? im sorry about my bad explanation here, i really suck. hope you guys will understand what im trying to say. & please dont give any rude responds. seriously, its a waste of time of being so mean for lame reason.

When you conver to islam, all your past sins are forgiven inshallah. and you start a new life. If you become a muslim and follow islam as it says then you will find urself to be a better human being. You will be more kind, loving, helpful and patience. This is your reward in this life. You become a muslim and you are on the right path, the true path and you are believing in the truth. This life is a test! the real life is eternal. Muslims do get married!! And who said you cannot see the girl before you get married? Ofcourse you can! You cannot date a girl before you get married!! Being a muslim doesnt mean you go straight to paradise!! You will have to give an account of your deeds. And nobody dies for your sins! you pay for your own sins! However, muslims will in the end will go to paradise. And there are many rewards, too many to list in here anyway. Islam is the only way to paradise..Belive in Allah, and his Prophets.. Accept islam. May Allah show you the right path...Ameen..

you can't imagine how happy I am to hear that you became our brother you sound like a very smart person it must be really hard to change your religion into a whole different one but this only shows how much courage you got to look for the truth.
it's okay that you don't know how to pray or do other things like Muslims do you are still in the beginning and you will learn these things with time don't worry too much, about the doubts that you have it's only the shaitaan trying to stop you from going on the right path it.
as for converting to Islam, it is a very simple and easy thing, consisting of your pronouncing the two testimonies of faith (al-shahaadatain).
so don't waste any more time and do it.
this link you can read other people's questions who are in the same situation you're in or ask all the questions that you want and the person who answers them is Sheikh Muhammad Salih Al-Munajjid he can help you a lot

Dear,
With due respect to you, I appreciate that you having in mind of converting yourself to Islam. If I may say, Islam is a beautiful religion. There is NO FORCE in converting to Islam. No one is forcing you to convert. Ask sincerely your own feeling. Do you sincerely want to convert to Islam. Then, when you sincerely want to convert, accept Islam. That's all. The first to do to convert is to Witness the existing of Al-Mighty God ALLAH Subhanahu Wata'ala and prophet Mohammad s.a.w. as prophet. That's all. Later you learn. You're not force to convert. With your devotion to Islam your learn about the does and the doesn't later. The payers later, The fasting later, and everything with be later. As proverb say "Rome is not built in a day".
You're asking "Quote [then suppose you already convert & and now is a muslim, but you dont know how to pray yet? i mean, do you have to know the rules & everything about islam, but you don't know how to pray before you can convert?] Unquote".
Again dear, if I may say and with due respect to you, there's no force in converting to Islam. You just Witness ALLAH is Your God and Muhammad bin Abdullah is the prophet and Messenger of God in "arabic". That's all. There's not such thing that you must learn the prayers before converting yourself to Islam. That's absolutely "NOT TRUE". The first to convert to Islam is not to Pray. The FIRST is to WITNESS there is no GOD save ALLAH AND MUHAMMD is the PROPHET of ALLAH. Later you learn more. You'll learn the does and the don't. The prayers, The Fasting, The Zakat and the Haj and pligrims. Lot of knowledge in Islam.. There's too many to learn. Its take many years. In the Holy Koran is everything.

First thing is to relax. You have to take it one day at a time. You really need to go to your local masjid and tell someone there that you want to become muslim because you need 2 muslim witnesses. They will provide you with some literature to help you learn how to pray and will help you learn to pray. The most important thing right now is to learn to pray not covering if you are a female or growing a beard if you are a male. They will gladly help you.

It's a waste of time posting questions here when we all know there are mean racist a==holes here. Anyways, it's really your choice, i mean, being muslim requires a lot of sacrifice and hard-work, but if you have the yearning to be one, go ahead. If you want to learn, then go to a teacher who teaches like muslim things (I'm sorry, lol, i don't know what they're called) and ask them for help.

You should contact your local masjid to know more about the faith. Maybe the Imam there will be able to help you. As far as I know, you could say the shahaddah (the lines you mentioned) and then learn how to pray and what not. But it will be besy to check with the Imam.

i think you should really think well before taking a step like this, read more about it from books, talk to people and try to know more about both religions yours and Islam and then when you're 100% convinced about what you want.do it,because it's your choice and your life and you control both.
