It is more true to say that we literally live by faith - experience what we believe in.
God/Reality is neutral, simply the field we inhabit that is responsive to consciousness. (see 'Holistic Physics') Our beliefs are mainly embedded in the subconscious during early childhood before our massive thinking brain fully developed and we were able to reflect on what was threatening in our environment. The learned ego is our defensive belief system that controls feelings and thought (interoception).
A "pure desire" causes reality to respond, but most people are at the mercy of an extremely conflicted belief and thought system. Theology is the intersection of psychology and physics and every religion teaches a form of psychological purification (unity with reality) that synchronizes being and reality.

Its doesn't create life, but it rules it. Everyone has beliefs. Religious or Secular, your beliefs provide you with a structure to base decisions on and its the decisions you make in life that determine its outcome, your fate.

Belief in Jesus the Son which is the word of God. Belief is action meannig you beleive in God and the Jesus the Son of God and His words in the Bible and doing what He tells you to do. Though you don't see Him you beleive that He is the Son of God jesus, and He died for are sins, and arose by the Father in three days that we may have everlasting life which is Spirit and not carnal. Believing on His name Jesus, you will live. Doing good, kindness, love, perservance, helping others, helping the widows and orphans. Doing good.Only if you call on Jesus and believe you'll be saved. There is no other way to Heaven except through the Son, and If you receive the Son you receive the Father. God Bless you.
