Some of you seem to miss the point, you slam me and my beliefs and yet are so offended that I call my self a moral conservative (did not imply that libersl are not moral or that athiest have no morals...those are your injections into my statement). If I am right I truly feel sorry for you and if you are right I am happy about the life I have lived...

Support the War (I support defending our country), the Death Penalty (I struggle wiht this, but in capital crime and even most child molestaion I see it as the best fix), Muslims (they they are people, terrorist (they need delat with or they will deal wiht us...most do not understand the level of commitment they have ), illegal immigrants (just people trying to better their lives - for the most part), illegal immigration - a crime that needs a quick serious solutions!

rofl... you just had to say "Upstanding conservative", didn't you? As though being Liberal is a swear word and something despicable.
Honestly, what is wrong with you? Do you have a brain malfunction somewhere?
Why are you so stupid as to think that Atheists don't have morals?
Or are you just trolling?
Grow up and use your brain. And stop trolling while you're at it.

Morality is NOT synonymous with any religion and I have never met a Christian who was not stressed and at the mercy of their learned ego fears and attachments (usually overt demonstrations of piousness.) If I am personally viewed in the way you describe, it is because Christianity has degenerated into silliness, and I always make every attempt to convince believers that there is an immensity of potential within themselves and their religion that they ignore, embarrassing themselves in the process.

Well that's why we bother you. Moral, upstanding, conservative? Hah. I beg to differ. Support the war? Endorse the death penalty? Feel funny about Muslims and/or illegal immigrants? If you answered yes or maybe to any of these questions, then you are hardly as moral as you say you are.

You see this is why - because you somehow think you have a monopoly on morals. You don't. Perhaps you smack your children, criticize peaceful, private homosexuals and sexually active single women, invest in arms companies and tobacco firms and support the war in Iraq. Or perhaps none of these, but it's a good bet you'd do something that others would consider "immoral".
They don't dislike Christianity. They dislike smug complacency.

So "feeling funny" about Muslims and immigrants now constitutes a moral issue. Dang! What's next? Chastising the cat for crapping on the carpet as an affront to all furred Americans? Sheesh. Get a grip.

Don't generalize. It's immoral. Especially when you
generalize about people who have "attitudes" that
you don't like. (Or... I am curious: do you even know
what an attitude is?) You may think that non-believers
opinions are adverse; and you're entitled to your own
opinion.
But, even though I'm not a believer in God, I'm not
one who'd tell you that you should not believe in Him.
If it gives you a sense of security... fine.
What you're doing, though, whether you realize it or
not, is being judgmental: a very bad habit. And, is
it not written, "Judge not, lest you be judged by others"?

you could ask the same about the christian's adverse attitude towards other religions. christian does not equate with morality or lower stress, quality of life, etc as you say. the country is about 75% christian yet we have rampant crime, huge levels of stress induced illness, and horrible, despicable poverty. couple all that with the fact that your christian "morals" are forced upon soceity through legislation, and there you have it.

Because some Christian sects spend so much time and money lobbying my representatives in Congress. I only get to vote when there's an election, and I just can't keep my mouth shut the rest of the time.

Because I'm still kicking myself for not doing more to prevent a dim-witted fundie from moving into the White House.
BTW, if you're trying to suggest that Christians are more moral than non-Christians, please provide a source.
