If it were not for the Crusades, Europe would be 100% Islamic today. And so would North and South America, since they would have been colonized by Islamic Europeans. If you value your Christian faith - or your atheism - thank the Crusaders.

One can make many parallels between the Crusades and Bush's war.

But, in his defense (which I rarely do), we've been meddling and messing up the Middle East since the 1700's.
