men love meat and potatoes, a nice pot roast should do the trick, especially when you put slices of garlic right into the meat and put herbs on the outside and let it bake

Here's something your man will love, guaranteed (so will you): Brined chicken. Since a friend introduced skeptical me to it a few years ago, I have not had chicken any other way since. It's easy: Dissolve 1/2 cup salt (kosher is best, I'm told) into about a quart of hot water, then add enough cold water to this solution to equal one gallon. Simply place your chicken (cut into pieces is best) into the brine (do it in the sink, as some water may be displaced), ensure it is entirely submerged, and refrigerate overnight, at least. Up to 48 hours is OK, I've found. When you're ready to cook it, remove it from the brine, rinse it very well (do not soak), pat dry, and cook it as usual. It will be the juiciest, tenderest, most delicious chicken you've ever had.

32 years of marriage has taught me that the best thing my husband enjoys after a long day at work is dinner on the table. I might have married Fred Flintstone but he is more than happy with a hug and kiss and a hot meal on the table. He does love his Mom's recipe for Macaroni and Meatballs, loves Chicken Pot Pie, Broiled Salmon, a good steak or a roasted chicken. He also loves homemade bread and anything for dessert! I love cooking for my sweetheart.

If he eats animals: Corned beef and cabbage, corned beef hash with the left-overs, beef stew, spaghetti Boglonaise, Carne Asada, tacos, Chili con carne,
If he doesn't eat animals: Vegetable stir fry, Teriyaki marinaded tofu, quiche made with lots of spinach, French onion soup, and Cesar salad.
You can find all of the recipes in a basic cookbook.

Get a couple of racks of Baby Back Ribs. BBQ them and after they are done pour some BBQ Sauce all over them. Serve them with Fire roasted potatoes, some grilled veggies and a salad on the side.

Wouldn't it be easier to ask him what his favorite foods are? Most men like a hearty meat meal. How about potroast? Or roast pork loin? Fettucini with a seafood sauce?
