I'm not really a Protestant, so I can't really answer this question from a Protestant point of view.
Are Mormons Christians? YES. I have been surrounded by hundreds of Mormons my entire life and I can say without any doubt that they believe in Jesus Christ and follow his teachings. They are currently studying the life and ministry of Jesus Christ from the New Testament every Sunday this year in church. They try to live Christlike lives. They give service by assisting the poor and the needy. I don't understand why people say Mormons are not Christians.

Dear Spaintola,
There are none that i know of. Clealry when you study the fundamental core beliefs of Mormonism and Christianity the two are not the same religion.
Any person you can find- you would also have to examine his doctrine. There is definetly no one streamline that i can think of- perhaps some strange cult... but sorry Christianity and Mormonism are not the same.
Kindly,
Nickster

Mormonism is a polytheistic religion. That fact alone places it far away from Christianity. Not to mention that everything they teach about Jesus Christ is completely incompatible with the most basic tenets of Christianity.

The Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, Doctrines and Covenants are not compatible with the Bible.
You can decide if that is an excluding factor.

and the childish name-calling starts
I say I am Christian and I only worry if Christ agrees -- I'm not worried about what protestant religions think.
Forgive me a "Cut and Paste" from a promonant Mormon Hymn...
I believe in Christ; he is my King!
With all my heart to him I’ll sing;
I’ll raise my voice in praise and joy,
In grand amens my tongue employ.
I believe in Christ; he is God’s Son.
On earth to dwell his soul did come.
He healed the sick; the dead he raised.
Good works were his; his name be praised.
I believe in Christ; oh blessed name!
As Mary’s Son he came to reign
’Mid mortal men, his earthly kin,
To save them from the woes of sin.
I believe in Christ, who marked the path,
Who did gain all his Father hath,
Who said to men: “Come, follow me,
That ye, my friends, with God may be.”
I believe in Christ—my Lord, my God!
My feet he plants on gospel sod.
I’ll worship him with all my might;
He is the source of truth and light.
I believe in Christ; he ransoms me.
From Satan’s grasp he sets me free,
And I shall live with joy and love
In his eternal courts above.
I believe in Christ; he stands supreme!
From him I’ll gain my fondest dream;
And while I strive through grief and pain,
His voice is heard: “Ye shall obtain.”
I believe in Christ; so come what may,
With him I’ll stand in that great day
When on this earth he comes again
To rule among the sons of men.

They're as Christian as Catholics are.. both originated in Christianity and then added a bunch of their own stuff to it.

I doubt it. Anyone who has truly studied the mormon church can only come to the conclusion that they are not Christians.
