There was only one 'thing' before God created everything ... that was 'nothing' ... therefore your statement is 'true' at least in THIS universe ... there may or may not have been 'suffering' in the other universes that may or may not 'exist' ... but the only 'true answer' that you can give to your question is that it is 'true' that there was no concept of 'suffering' until God created EVERYTHING.

That is true. And once we join God in eternity where He existed before the Creation there will be no concept of suffering there either. But of course the concept will exist to the maximum, eternally, for those who are not saved.

Dear Impeyan Link,
This would be true- because in the beginning it was just God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Suffering occured after man sinned.
So that statement would be Biblically true.
Hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster

Yes there was no suffering until Adam and Eve sinned. Before that they were in a state of grace, heaven on earth but the tempter tempted them and they gave in and chose their own way over God's. This brought forth sin which brought forth suffering. Although the effects of original sin remain, thank God for the second Adam, which is Christ and the great sacrament of Baptism.
From the Catechsim of the Catholic Church:
418 As a result of original sin, human nature is weakened in its powers, subject to ignorance, suffering and the domination of death, and inclined to sin (this inclination is called "concupiscence").

false. When god created the earth, he created sin. The sin was of course locked in the tree of knowledge...proof once again that what you know can kill you...but I digress. Suffering was there all along. Even if it was not evident in Adam...it must have been evident in the creatures he created. Animals suffer as well.

Well yeah, cause there was nothing, then there was a rebellion of God's creation (Luicfer and his followers) and they and the weakness of men have cause great suffering ever sense. God is not the cause of the suffereing, but in you statement He started the whole human existance..

False, God suffers. In order for suffering to exist here, it must have come from God Himself. All feelings and emotions come from God.
Before us, He was alone... isn't that, in a sense, sufferring?
