Actually people are much more dangerous than dogs.
No other animal has wars over their differences. People kill each other without mercy and for no reason. People are the ones that invented weapons that can blow up the world because of the select few that think they rightfully have power over all.
People rape, murder, assault, torture, control, and destroy like no other living creature on this planet does.
People also are the reason some dogs are so dangerous-because they are abused and beaten so they become that way.
People do need to leash their dogs, it is too dangerous not to.
However there are places (fenced in, etc) where you can safely take your dog off leash.
If you are telling somebody they need to leash their dog when they are in such a place, then that's none of your business.
It's the owner's responsibility to clean up the dog's mess.
Dogs are great companions. Some people hate birds. Or any small rodent. Or cats. Why does it matter what pet they choose as long as they love it and can care for it?
I have reptiles...love them, but you can't do much with them. We have some pretty fish but they just swim in their tank all day and do absolutely nothing. Boring!
We also have a dog. Dogs are the greatest pets ever but of course that is MY opinion.
Everybody has things they can't stand. Get over it.

I'm not going to to you your a bad person for not liking dogs that's just your personal preference whatever that's ok.
And I can understand why you would be annoyed with people not picking up after there dog or not having it on a leash in a public place
that's just irresponsible dog ownership I can agree with you there
I don't hate dogs I own one so people so don't give me the thumbs down.
By the way what are you doing asking a question like that in the dog section did you know your walking in the lions den
here :0)

I think it is inconsiderate when people don't pick up their dog's mess. And it is also inconsiderate, and against the law, to walk a dog in public without a leash. I always walk my dog on a leash for MANY reasons, and one of them is because not everyone loves my dog as much as I do. Not everyone wants a strange dog sniffing and licking them.
It is weird to me to meet people who don't like dogs, but as long as you don't hurt them, then it doesn't bother me. My step dad hates dogs, but he doesn't hurt them, he just prefers that they aren't around him. He doesn't like the smell, the mess, the hair, and the responsibility of having one around. He's not a bad person, and he doesn't mind when people responsibly own a dog (which means keeping it On a Leash!). I'm sorry people give you such a hard time. You can try to call animal control when you see people walking their dog without a leash, but I don't know if it would help too much. Good Luck.

there are thousands of reasons that people love dogs. there are multiple sports and competitions u can do with ur dog that other animals just cant do. these competitions are not only fun for both animal and owner but a great way to bond with the animal. i really love my dog and just because u dont like dogs doesnt mean u need to say terrible stuff about them. dogs are so diverse and there is one out there for every one so that is basicly why people like dogs

yep, you just prove a point of view I have....most dogs are very much nicer than most people. How sad that you've never shared your life even for a short time with a dog, as for being dirty, my dog was far nicer to smell than my EX husband.
You are right in never taking on a dog, you would make the most dreadful owner. For gods sake make sure you never have children, far dirtier than any dog.

well... i have 2 dogs both are shi tzus, meaning small furry dogs. i completelly agree with you that a lot of pet owners feel that just becuase they love their dogs everyone else should. my dogs are always leashed unles we are in a "dog" park, i think its vital to pick up poop after your dog and not jsut for cleanleness reason but a lot of dogs like skiffing it and touching it and eating it even and can get disease from that. so i think thats important too. i would never let my dogs , even though they love people and will always try to jump on someone, jump on people unless people tell me its ok to do so. so i agree with you on most parts. however, i think its a bit harsh to say you hate dogs. i dont think you ever known one close enough to say that. i never had a dog before the two i have now, i am actually fairly afraid of dogs, but when i saw my puppy i just knew i could not not get him. dogs dont annoy people if they are properlly trained and cared for.

I don't think you have ever known a dog, what you are describing is 100% the owners fault, they allow the dog to sniff you, they aren't cleaning up after the dog. You just don't know what you are missing until you find a dog and really get to know it they are like no other friend you ever had they will never treat you like you are evil or a sociopath just tons of unconditional love. I have a cat but she is just not as loving as she is independent. But my Yorkie is there every morning when I wake up and he is just ecstatic to see me like it has been years. He is so gratefull for everything I do for him,a walk, a treat, a brushing. I truly love that little guy!

Dog's are the best things ever. My favorite part of the day is coming home and my dog running to greet me. I understand you're opinion and respect it but I don't agree with it.

I clean up after my dog in the park. My dog sits and stays when I tell her too and we have company. Can cats help the blind see? Can cats find bombs in the airports, or dead bodies in a wreck? Doubt it... cats wouldn't even want to. Dogs will do anything and everything they can to please you. They want to work to help you. DID they take cats into WWII and Vietnam to help the soliders?Do you ever hear about a hamster saving their family from a burning building... not quite. But dogs do. You may not like dogs, and that's fine. But don't sound so shocked that other people do.

I love my dog. You really have to have owned a dog or gotten really close to one to understand the relationship between dogs and people. I suppose it's the individual person, but I doubt you have ever really got to know a nice dog. :)
