I'm thinking of streaking caramel over the red part of my hair. Will it work?

i love your current color but if you are bored the new caramel looks gr8 too.. but i dont think you can do it urself.. 'coz it messes up the whole think when you try caramel color over the red... better to get it bleached or to dye it to your original hair color before trying another one... best thing is to consult a hairstylist 'coz it totally depends on the type of hair you have.. usually using chemicals over chemicals dont give good results...

Gud Luck

No, it's not going to work. You can't just put color over color. I suggest going to a salon and having it done correctly. The only way you can make red lighter is with bleach and it'll take a lot of bleach because red especially bright red like that is the toughest color to bleach because of how much red pigment there is. The caramel highlighting kit you bought will most likely either turn the red orange or won't do anything to it. Go to a salon!

It relies upon on how bleached your hair is definitely. If its a style of grimy blond- then you certainly gets a darker purple shade. whether that's extremely blond- like very almost white blond- your hair will finally end up an extremely bright, bright purple. the proper shade shown on the field, maximum probable! And the colour will final longer too! people who prefer to dye their hair a coloration like purple, and prefer it to come again out a solid shade are cautioned to bleach it first. in case you do prefer it to be very bright, then you certainly will prefer your hair to be the brightest blond shade conceivable, so for you to evade utilizing brown hair dye in any respect expenses; in case you utilize it formerly hand, bleaching this is going to turn it orange, no longer blond! And in case you dye it brown after bleaching, this is going to easily smash all your no longer ordinary paintings because of the fact it frequently takes a on an identical time as for dark colorings like brown to bathe out!

That caramel color is permanent? If its semi permanent..it can only darken.....semi permanent color cannot lift...only deposit..if its permanent..It will lift BUT your hair Is SO dark...the red will probably be a yucky pink or orange and black is REALLY hard to get rid of....so I would suggest letting a professional do it...or just waiting til yours grows out...but you can try it..i dont think it will work though...sorry. Good luck!!
