Your problem is your calorie intake! Absolutely no one should have less than 1200 calories per day. Doctors don't even order less than 1200 calorie diets except in extreme weight conditions that are life/death. Your body needs that many calories just to function properly. When you eat less than 1200 calories, your body goes into starvation mode and coverts everything you eat to fat. This means you can't lose weight no matter how hard you exercise. At 17, you are really screwing up your metabolism and, if you don't get it straightened out now, you will have a life long battle ahead of you.

Increase your calories to at least 1200 and continue doing your exercising and things should fall into place. Actually at 17, you are still growing, so you should be consuming 1500 calories minimum so you don't impede your growth process. But, if you refuse to do that, at least do the 1200 so that your body gets out of starvation mode.

While consuming greater is continually the first-rate option, a few well approaches to do that maybe to consume rice foods. My roommate chefs rice rather quite often and eats it with hen and different meats that is don't seem to be too high priced. Its filling and well for you. Not to say it may be flavored. Though now not what a nutritionist could let you know you'll generally sacrifice the fine (the consuming greater facet) for a little extra endeavor. I'm now not pronouncing you ate a McD's cheeseburger so that you ought to run a mile. But take the steps rather of the elevator in case your now not in a hurry, stuff like that.

You say:" I'm not a big drinker".
Yours could be a problem of water retainment. You need to drink much more water or green tea otherwise your body tries to keep inside all the liquids he can. According to me you should have 3 pints a day, at least.
I quote ilse72 about the calorie intake.
