You've already told them to not return, and they do? Then it might be a "different" group of them.
Check with your town's ordinances (if a town you live in... call town hall, city hall.. whatever) and ask if these people have to have a license to solicit.. yes it's considered solicitation. If they do, ask them to show you their license. If they don't well....
1- there are "No Soliciting" signs which can be bought (nice ones, not those hideous black/orange plastic ones) and mounted by your doorbell/knob/knocker.
2- try "No TRESPASSING" signs... since I posted them on my mailbox, VIOLA!! No visitors! (I live outside of town, so no ordinances to block them are in place.)
Hope this helps.
Have a blessed day!

Sorry. It is probably a simple clerical error, or it could be someone at your home showed interest, and so the Witnesses are returning simply to talk to that person. If you look up your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses you can ask them to not come again. While we will still need to check with you every 6 months or so, as people move, and we all at times have changes of heart, we wish to respect your wishes and you God given freedom of choice.

turbosc, simma down now! geez get a grip. the guy who said he was one is likely not responsible for your disturbances (which you are overreacting to). i had some JW come by once, i was real nice the first time and listened. the second time they came i told them i was not interested and i already had a religion and then they left and never came again.
i'll bet someone made a mistake and forgot to take your name off the list or something. i would call back and make sure they have a 'do not knock' list and if not tell them they need one.

I have had the same problem. I kindly told them I have a church and I am active in my church. They still wanted to leave their tracts. I said NO THANK YOU and please don't come back. They don't care what they say they still come back. I hate it. My dogs bark and jump at the door. They just stand there and wait for me to open the door. I have gotten to the point I just let them stand there and ring the bell. I don't answer the door. What is there problem? I see someone said I am one. Do you care to explain this type of action? I do plan to call the police, but it will take so long for them to respond to a non emergancy call. Surely there is a better way to solve this problem.

Why don't you put up a sign like those that says "This is a Cathlic home" or whatever religion you are or No Solicitating you now something like that. But from my experience with Jahova's witnesses it's never been the same people to visit my home. There are so many different groups. But if its always the same people who go to your house then talk to 'em.

You could do something REALLY obnoxious like show up at your front door wearing stained boxer shorts while holding a double-barrel shotgun & a can of beer.
A friend of mine had an ex-roommate who was a JW missionary. When the Jehovah Witnesses came to her door the next time - she told them, "OMG - I'm so glad to see you!" and then handed them the BOXES & BOXES of "the Watchtower" which her roommate left behind.
There are non-solicitation signs you could put on your house... another thing I've seen is, if your house has some OBVIOUS religious signs on there (like the star of david... some bhuddist altars... a pentagram & sacrificed goat in the front yard... etc.) ...they tend to stay away.
Or send out your bodyguards - and invite the JW who beat up your guys to come inside and become a porn-star! (Thank-you Matt & Trey for "Orgasmo")

Hmm, that should not happen. If you have done so as you said, then the Jehovah's Witnesses should have marked your location as not interested. JWs always accept if a person chooses not to listen, so if they do come again, simply tell them that you have already said you don't want them to come to your home anymore and they keep coming. They should be very understanding and should not visit you again. (I am one)

The way I got them to quit was to say, "I thought I told you I'm an atheist, will never become a Jehovah Witness, and that I never want you to come back here again." Then I shred his booklet and threw it at him. I haven't had one come back since. It would have been more fun if I lit the booklet on fire, but I had to work with what I had.

Bongernet, stop pasting the same quote into every thread. It makes it look like you cannot hold a coherent arguement.
To the question: They won't stop because they think they are right, and the tennents of their faith require them to peddle their beliefs door to door.
To get them to stop, you might try "no trespassing" signs, restraining orders, a large dog, a large calibre handgun, really mean words, or....
Just don't open the door.

When unhappy householders complain that "Jehovah's Witnesses" call repeatedly or at unreasonable times of the day, the householders should perhaps ask themselves exactly why they believe it must have been genuine Witnesses who knocked or rang the doorbell.
