1JUDE, A servant of Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and brother of James, [writes this letter] to those who are called (chosen), dearly loved by God the Father and separated (set apart) and kept for Jesus Christ:

2May mercy, [soul] peace, and love be multiplied to you.

3Beloved, my whole concern was to write to you in regard to our common salvation. [But] I found it necessary and was impelled to write you and urgently appeal to and exhort [you] to contend for the faith which was once for all [a]handed down to the saints [the faith which is that sum of Christian belief which was delivered [b]verbally to the holy people of God].

Yes it is one definition of the faith. The one most often quoted is Hebrews 11:1; '... now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.'

"Contend" is not the word I would use, but what I see or is said here has no direct effect on my place in the community.

What I do look for is a chance to help those not of my faith understand why I believe what I believe, and to demonstrate that the usual images of strident Christians, or non-science Christians is very much in error.

It matters not to me what anyone says about me. I only care what God says about me, and as long as He calls me HIS, I am in Heaven. I believe in the Bible and I believe we are called to obey it. I do. My job on this earth is to live truth and speak truths of God, in boldness, but in humbleness, in unity of love of faith and in the truth. Its my job to live truth and speak truth, just as Jesus did, and to wait for Jesus to come. Those born of God cannot deliberately sin, its in the Bible.
I am of strong faith. Faith still moves mountains today, and miracles still come today as much as yesterday.
I have recieved what has given to me, and I seek only more of Him. Because of Jesus blood shed on the cross, we have been given the power to overcome sin. This is a huge part of Gods last day message to be shouted out. Many will hear, but only a few will receive it.
God says we must be fully His or we arent His at all. Shout this message to the world. The only true religion, is the teachings from the Holy Bible, with the full teachings of Jesus Christ. Read that in 2 John 7-12 and other places.
Jesus heals, delivers and saves, and there is no other way.
Be ready for He is coming soon. Doesnt matter what the world says about us . As long as GOd is pleased and calls us HIS, we have it all.
Keep speaking about the faith of God. God will forever bless you to overflow....

What is said here is little stuff. The real question is: Are you still contending in the faith no matter what is said about or to you OR DONE TO YOU in the REAL WORLD?

Yes, I am always His. "According He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be Holy and without blame before Him in Love;" Eph.1:4 PTL!

umm yeah. Do you believe in Zeus? Do you believe in Ganesh, Thor or Mithras?

DO you know that when Marx stated that religion was the opiate of the masses, thet he wasn't speaking as an athiest but as a historian and that Rome only adopted the faith because it was in fashion and they needed a structured heirarchal way to keep the populace in check in a time of the empires decay?

Go read a comic. Its all fiction.
