Even if the chemical didn't take, you should not put a chemical relaxer in your hair until at least 8 weeks later and only apply to new qrowth.

I may be wrong, but the creme part of relaxer is just a vehicle for the activator, and has no function other than to act as delivery system for the chemicals in the activator, and least that's the case with the brand I use, Mizani. So technically, you haven't put any chemical on your hair yet.
I would double check with a stylist though before doing anything because it could mean the difference between having hair, and not. You might also find a toll free customer service number on the packaging of the perm you used and they should be able to give you specific information pertaining to their product.

ok, i think you should definately wait at least a month or even longer, if you can. i know it really blows to not have a perm, since it's gonna take extra care to straighten it, but if you do it too soon, it could also destroy your hair, making it thinner, and making it fall out. (not completely, don't worry, you wont go bald! hehe) but i say wait as long as you think you can. just to reduce the bad effects of putting a perm on too soon. good luck!

well I'm not a hair stylist but i think you should wait at least 8-10 weeks that how long i usually wait you can try putting some cornrows or twists in the front then make a nice bun with the hair left in the back. and find a new hair dresser that one sound like bad news

try and wait another 5-7 weeks before getting another perm! And if you dont feel like you can do that, go to you beautician or the person that does your hair, and ask them what they think you should do.

You didn't get a perm. You got a cream...
When you get the real relaxer, know it will continue to damage your hair, but you don't have to wait.
Go ahead and wait, if you want extra peace of mind though...

anything that says fortifying or strengthing.
and i agree with the poster that said 8 weeks.
